Julianne Hough has a new hair color.
Now, the hunt is on for a new man!
A source has confirmed to People that the gorgeous singers have ended their relationship. The insider said: "This was mutual. They needed some time apart."
Note to Julianne: are you lonely yet? If so, you know where to find The Hollywood Gossip.
Hough and Wicks dated for about a year. They got close while touring with Brad Paisley and teamed up on last season's Dancing with the Stars.
"The minute we met it was perfect," Hough said in December. "The first date we had we both had that feeling like we were going to fall in love with each other."
The pair will actually both be in attendance at tonight's Country Music Association Awards. Will there be any fireworks? Who wore the worst outfit on the red carpet?
THG will cover every aspect of this event tomorrow!

Finally!!!! Chuck Wicks is a weak-chinned ninny. He acted like such a whiny, small-minded jerk on DWTS, I couldn't believe Julianne didn't dump him then.

Juliane Hough is a Mormon. Chuck Wicks is not. What happened when he said something like "Would you like a drink of bourbon Juliane?" or when she said something like "Hae Chuck ,how about we go to the Temple, oops I forgot, your a gentile so you can't go in...". Mormons get married to Mormons at the rate of 85%. This is only less then Hindu's percentage at Marraige. But devout Mormons get Married at a much higher rate than that. At Julianes age (the same age that famous author Stephanie Meyer was married) it is almost unheard of for a devout member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints to marry a nonmember. It is not a matter of being scandelous, but rather shared expections and a different worldview from others that causes this to happen. No doubt being a girlfriend to a nonmormon was quite eye-opening, though the reverse might also be the case with Chuck Wicks. Did Chuck Wicks live up to what no doubt seemed to him the impossible level of nobility and chivolry expected of a Mormon male? After all Star Wars was produced by Gary Kurtz a Mormon. Did Chuck Wicks fall short of being a Stephanie Meyers Edward Cullen or a Star Wars Luke Skywalker? Hypothetically, if Chuck Wicks family and Chuck Wicks converted to Mormonism, and brother Wicks went on a mission, and then his parents recieved a phone call saying their son, Elder Wicks was coming home prematurely, because he was severly injured while on his mission... Hypotheticaly, how would Chucks parents react to this information? With sadness? If you are nondevoute Mormon that is probably the only emotion you could imagine feeling. But for Mormon parents, true believing devout Mormon parents, the reaction would quite possibly be the emotion of relief. "Only a serious phisical injury? He is not being kicked off his mission for moral problems???" If the answer to the Mormon Dad's question was "Not a moral indescrection, just an attack by antimormons." Then this would be quite a relief most likely. Even if the missionary was killed on his or her mission, many Mormon parents would much prefer this to having him or her being sent home early for a moral indescresion. Most nonmormons would have a difficult time computing this, like many other things in Mormon thinking. This Sparten idea that you come home victorious or carried home on your shield... is (trust me) very prevelant in Mormon culture. How could Chuck Wicks live up to that? He couldn't because he wasn't raised to believe that way. It would be like asking an Athenian to be a Sparten. Or like asking a Vampire to be a vegetarian (only drink animal blood). Or like asking a farm boy to become a Jedi Knight and seek his destiny, regardless of the danger. While theoretically it is possible, the actual likelyhood is close to zero. Few indeed can live up to that standard or even want to. So we can clearly see the relationship between Chuck and Juliane was almost certainly doomed from the begining. However, they are young, and perhaps they have learned their lesson. In Julianes case an exellent choice would be Dancing With The Stars Lacy Schwimmer's brother, who won So You Think You Can Dance. Additionally he is a return missionary for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. Ofcourse she would no doubt have to get her Temple recomend to certify her purity for him to even consider her, but she is young and this is certainly possible. Who knows, a Lacey Schwimmer and Derrick Schwimmer temple wedding, with Dereck Hough and Juliane Hough is perhaps a possiblity. Indeed it is alot more possible all things considered than the average person might think. Match maker, match maker make me a match. Well there might be one problem. Lacy Schwimmer and her brother Derick Schwimmer are Jews as well as being Mormons. And sometimes Jews whether they are Mormon or not prefer to be married to only Jews. This might explain why neither one is married, but it could be that they are both waiting for the right one. A Jew is actually still a Jew after being baptized a Mormon, infact one of the Bulls that hold up the sacred baptismal font in Mormon Temples is representative of the Jews (it is too complicated to explain so I won't). Lacy Schwimmer would be an exellent match for Derick Hough, if he was true blue Mormon enouph for her. (Obiously he can not do anything about his lack of Jewishness, though perhaps being an Ephramite could help mitigate that possible percieved lack). Do not be decieved by Lacey Schwimmers spunky and somewhat edgy PG-13 personae. She is 100% temple worthy Mormon. The same cannot be said about Derick Hough. However, he was raised a spartan... oops I mean Mormon, and therefore he knows what he needs to do to purify his soul and get back to what might be an acceptable standard to a delightfull young L.D.S. lady like Lacy Schwimmer. She does not seem like the kind of Mormon that would accept anything less than stamped grade A. There does seem to be more of a friendship toward Lacy Schwimmer from Derick Hough than Chelsie Hightower. But it is difficult to say. These things tend to go hot and cold, young Mormon's being who they are. Certainly a triangle of sorts is there, if only to see wich young L.D.S. lady is esteemed more as a friend by the ultra-talented L.D.S. dancer (and singer/guitar player) Derick Hough. But more than friendship is there, I think. (Though only a Mormon on top his or her game would be able to notice the small gestures that signified a special interest for the youngsters.)(Case in point is after dancing the forbiden dance, the lambada, with his DWTS dance partner, he came into the back area and, ignoring everbody else in the room, looked derectly into Lacy Schwimmers eyes ever so briefly, and she into his, before he went to the other jewish girl in the room, who interviewed him. It seems likely the edgy spunky Mormon Lacy Schwimmer had advised him to take the shirt off. Wich ofcourse caused a brief firestorm but didn't get
Derick fired, so it all ended well enough.) So the triangle with Lacy, Chelsie, and Derick, is almost certainly quite intense. And almost certainly quite chaste, such is the case with Mormon youth. But that will only amplify their unconsumated emotions for each other. It is sad, in a way, to see some of the young dancers, contestants or professionals who think they have any chance of developing a longterm boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with the Mormons, when such a thing is very unlikely, no matter how pretty or famous they are. Kelly Osbourne is a perfect example, and this is nothing against her in the slightest, but not being L.D.S. she would not know the cultural intracacies that are involved, and therefore could not understand what an unlikely event anything but a platonic relationship would be with an L.D.S. young man. Afterall Derick Hough is almost certainly a priest atleast, and quite possibly an elder! Developing a serious relationship with him would be about as sensible as trying to turn a straight person Gay. And that does not mean she wants to (persue a relationship with a Mormon), I'm just saying if she did, that is how complicated it would be if she did persue that... friend category forever, nothing more I'm afraid. So the obious question is therefore, will Juliane Hough's break up with Chuck Wick cause her to consider going back to DWTS? Will they offer her enouph money or let her sing her music from time to time, etc.?? Will Derick Schwimmer also be lured into DWTS, a show he has guest danced previously?? Will two L.D.S. brothers hit it off with two L.D.S. sisters on an even deeper level than they already have? Is there a match maker at DWTS who is even aware of the implications of this potential lineup? Will their be a fiddler on the roof at DWTS?!?!.. (Oops, sorry in my exubrance I let my emotions cloud my writing. 'Twas the whole Jewish Mormon thing, I guess.) But back to logic, what about Chelsie Hightower. She could quite logically choose either Derick Hough or Derick Schwimmer. Her own brother is a missionary in the state of Washington, so she may Favor Derick Schwimmer. However, despite the common SYTYCD connection between Schwimmer and Chelsie Hightower, there seems to be more phisical proximity between Derick Hough and Chelsie Hightower. Chelsie has been at DWTS a few seasons now. So we can well imagine their frienship being deeper. Also Chelsie Hightower and Derick Hough are from near each other in northern Utah. They both have family members that live near each other. Therefore there is ample opportunities (exuses) to see each other or each others family members. From this it is quite possible, in addition to everything else, that Derick Hough and Chelsie Hightower are a distinct possibility. Alot depends on Derick Houghs "worthiness" (I won't explain it, but this is a term refering to moral and specifically Temple worthiness... if your L.D.S. you follow my thought process if not probably not). If Derick Hough is "worthy" than Chelsie Hightower and Lacy Schwimmer may well get very catty indeed. Mormon girls are normally very nice, however this is a situation, where the claws might come out and then some. Considering Derick Hough's charming personality, his fame, his good looks (shirt on or off) we can well imagine the atraction this would have. Though make no mistake the feeling is mutual. The only factor that seems to make the situation difficult to completely decode is Lacy Schwimmer's Jewishness. Would this prevent her from seeing brother Hough as any thing but a pretty boy dancer/fame chaser beach boy? Is it a sufficiently strong tradition in her Mormon family to only marry Jewish because of her equally impressive Jewish heratige? Not knowing the family well enouph I couldn't say for sure. Certainly there are sparks flying between Chelsie and Hough. And considering Lacey is reported to have a steady boyfriend, and Chelsie and Derick Hough do not, I would have to say if asked that it is quite likely that Chelsie Hightower and Derick Hough will get together. Also it is likely they will marry in the Temple. Infact I'm suprised I did not write this before, it is as plain as the nose on my face. Mormons can be very secritive so even I missed a few clues. But I won't get into that. It is obious that Chelsie Hightower and Derick Hough will get married in the Temple it is just a matter of time. And what about Julianne? She needs some time to collect herself, and reconnect with who she is, wich is a Mormon girl afterall. It is always easier to be yourself, whether you are a Sparten, A Vampire, or a Jedi Knight, or a even a Mormon, than trying to be who you are not. Such is the way to mend a broken heart, if there is any way at all. So we can expect Juliannes spirituality and Christ-centeredness to increase, because of her heartbreak. And we can also expect her to rely on her big brother Derick Hough even more. Which ofcourse means that Chelsie Hightower will be of great assistance to Julianne. To give her strength and courage to be the kind of woman she really wants to be. Certainly Chelsie Hightower will be the kind of sister-in-law that Julianne Hough will love, and she will be loved in return, we can not doubt. True love, is it the strongest force in the universe or what? Julianne... we can only hope you follow your older brother's good example.
