If you thought the Balloon Boy hoax was as far as you'd see aspiring reality TV jokers go for 15 minutes of fame, you don't know Michaele and Tareq Salahi.
The Virginia couple somehow managed to crash a state dinner at the White House this week and get up close and personal with President Barack Obama.
They are now the subject of a federal investigation.
The Secret Service is looking to file charges against Michaele and Tareq Salahi, who were attempting to land a spot on Bravo's The Real Housewives of D.C.
On Tuesday, the Salahis snuck into the president's first state dinner, honoring the prime minister of India, then posted pictures of themselves schmoozing.
Amazingly, Michaele and Tareq Salahi even managed to meet Barack and Michelle Obama in a receiving line, bypassing security with no invite or red flag.

On the verge of launching the D.C. installment of its reality franchise, Bravo is trying distance itself from it, saying the Salahis' participation is "not finalized."
"[Show producers] Half Yard Productions were filming the Salahis that day as they prepared for the event, that's the extent of our involvement," Bravo said Friday.
So they told producers they were invited and were filmed getting ready. That doesn't explain how they got in, of course, and President Obama isn't taking it lightly.
The matter has been referred to the Secret Service's internal affairs division, leading to a full investigation, according to Secret Service spokesman Jim Mackin.
While Mackin said the agency hasn't determined if party crashing is illegal, it hasn't ruled out pursuing criminal charges against the fame-seeking socialites.
Secret Services is taking full responsibility for the mishap, saying procedures likely weren't followed at the checkpoints and invites weren't checked properly.

What a angry group, comments quite nasty towards the couple and potus was displeased, who cares, there was no threat, the folks from secert service are too blame for letting the couple gain entry. There should be several investigations: secret service incompent, potus for the socialist administration and all the finger pointers. The couple commited no crime but, it's always easier to fix blame on someone else while the guilty laugh at the fools.

Hopefully the 15 minutes for these two wanna be social climbers will be cut short by the US Justice system. They should make an example of them. It was enormously disrespectful to the President and the Office to pull a Trailer Trash stunt like party crashing. Bill them for the Secret Service investigation, and all the wonderful food and drink. From what is coming out now, they are broke a$$ broke frauds anyway. Wealthy people pay their bills promptly. Don't wince too much when the IRS slides the microscope where the Sun don't shine. Momma should have told you two that you are not special, or attractive, no matter how many pictures you weasel your way into with powerful people.

I'm sorry. But this tacky, classless prick and his skank of a wife should be taken out back and shot. I actually know them, he pretends to be someone who is 'big' in the polo circles, but actually is mocked relentlessly. Being involved in the world polo scene myself, I am frankly ashamed to hear/see their involvement at any level... I wouldn't even let them groom my ponies.
