Dallas Austin made headlines this weekend for his alleged relationship with pop icon Britney Spears. As we reported, the two met up at his home in Atlanta.

Some suggested it was more than just a friendly meeting.

The music producer Twittered this about the get-together:

"I do love Britney spears hope it doesn't cause us problems... know u guys probably seem the gossip by now..." Dallas Austin wrote.

Minus the typos, he then echoed his sentiment by sending JJ's Dirt a text moments in response to a question how he and Britney were doing:

The above, out-of-focus text reads, "Good she's a sweetheart :) I don't know how people got in our business she only flew here with her friends no one else knew she was at my house... I adore her though :)."

There you have it, folks. Dallas Austin has sort of set the record straight about Britney Spears. If nothing else, the producer has confirmed that he and the star got together at his house and that they are close.
