Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn Spears Engagement Confirmed!
In case you didn't believe it when we reported two days ago that Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge got engaged, his cousin as confirmed it!
The pregnant, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn and her 18-year-old boyfriend Casey are indeed engaged, his cousin, Tina Robinson, confirms to Us Weekly.
"He proposed a few days ago, and she accepted," Robinson said..
Robinson says she hasn't seen a ring and didn't know whether they would wed before or after Jamie Lynn Spears delivers.
"They probably weren't expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up," Robinson said.
In December, Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge announced amid a storm of controversy that they were expecting their first child together.
The younger sister of Britney Spears and the star of the Nickelodeon hit Zoey 101 has been laying low in Kentwood, La., and recently got her GED.
Guess the engagement clears up any rumors that Casey is not the father.

Has anyone even mentioned that LEGALLY what this creep Aldridge did is RAPE??!!
Don't get me wrong, J.Lynn has to be held responsible & accountable too, but she dosn't deserve to be knocked-up at age 15 by some loser who just wants her money & fame.
She could have had an abortion but apparently she didn't learn a damn thing from her sister's MANY, MANY, MANY mistakes......

(In response to the actual article) Do I think she should have kept her panties on? Yes.
Do I think she is making the right decision? Only time can tell. I don't know the guy, so how am I supposed to know if it was the right decision. Just because he was the father of her child does not make him the right person for her. But if he is, huzzah.

I personally think Jamie Lynn is too young to be having a baby at only 16 years old!!! It's like a child raising a child but the good thing is that she will have loads of support through this pregnancy!!! I am only 16 years old myself and I know I definently would be scared to death to have a baby!!!I think that whatever happens to Jamie Lynn, Casey and this little baby girl will turn out fine!!! I hope Jamie Lynn's preganacy turns out fine and I will be praying for a safe delivery!!! God Bless you all!!!

I believe Jamie should have actually went through highschool, and shouldn't have just recieved her GED.
On the other hand, she does make extremely good money, so i guess an education is not in need for her.
She will be a better mother, you learn from the mistakes of those around you, so do not worry about her parenting skills.
Casey, and Jamie being engaged is probably the best for them and the unborn child. This way, they are together, and the child has a natural, and normal home life [mother, father, etc.]
...give Jamie Lynn a chance, y'all are judging her actions before she even does them.
Look around in your local high school, how many PREGNANT teens do you see? It is a normal thing now and days, just because her pregnancy is publicized does not mean that you should judge her differently because she is famous, compared to the pregnant teens whom are normal average teens.

I think she is flowing in her sisters footsteps but she is much better of a person then Brittney i think just because jamie got pregnant doesnt mean people have to stop caring about her i know what she did was bad but her parents have two daughters and they act as if they have on the troble one brittney and she did something wrong in her life everyone does that does not mean that her parents should just forget about her they have to support her she cant live on her own with a baby i am just saying dont give up on her she is a beautiful soon to be mommy and im not just some mad old person im a huge fan on Zoey 101 and im 12 so i dont want people to give up on her and when the baby is born DONT always say its a crue up kid cause it wont to be Jamie is going to be a great mom and just dont stop believeing in her and thats what everyone is doind I PRAY FOR YOU JAMIE AND I WILL NEVER STOP BELEIVING IN YOU YOU GOING TO BE A GREAT MOM I HOPE THE BEST FOR YOU GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LITTLE BAB

Steph - "he is frucking hot" does not mean that their marriage will be any less of a sham or that because she is engaged to someone 'hot' her actions are justified. Equally, just because they are getting married and Jamie Lynn is still with the baby's 'father' (for now), does not mean that she will be any better of a mother than Britney.
