Throughout Hannah's season of The Bachelorette, it's been no secret that Mike Johnson was Demi Lovato's favorite of the bunch. And she's not alone.
The Bachelor Nation as a whole adores Mike. His smile, his looks, his charisma, and his attitude are all instantly endearing.
Will he be the next leading man on The Bachelor?
Chris Harrison discusses the difficult decision-making process that goes into selecting the next Bachelor
"We've debated nonstop," Chris reveals to E! News.
He says htat it's no simple matter to decide who is handsomest or has the most potential for entertainment.
Rather, Chris explains, "everything effects the decision"
That means that the Men Tell All special can be a time to shine. The same goes for Bachelor in Paradise.
"People have to realize it's a debate," Chris says. "We're always going at it."
"Obviously," he acknolwedges. "Mike's a contender coming out of tonight's show."
"Everybody loves the guy and so do I," Chris expresses.
"I mean, that million-dollar smile, his maturity, his looks, his charisma and charm," he lists.
"But we have three other guys on the show,' Chris notes. "And we have a bunch of guys going down to Mexico in Paradise."
"Give us time," he asks the Bachelor Nation. "The debate will rage on. …"
Mike himself was asked about who should be the next Bachelor.
"If Hannah doesn't choose Peter, I think Peter would be a great choice for Bachelor," Mike expresses.
"I mean, the guy is pretty good looking, he speaks well," he praises.
Mike continues: "He's 27 so I feel that he has some experience underneath his belt."
"As far as me? I'm grateful," he raves. "Truly am grateful for even being in the question."
"But on a very serious note," Mike admits. "I would need to make sure that all 30 contestants, if I were to be The Bachelor, are there for the right reasons to find love."
Mike also had no end of praise to heap upon Hannah.
"Hannah has set a precedent for being your true self, your authentic self," Mike praises.
"And," he continues. "For not giving a damn what people say around you or that there are cameras around you, you should be perfect."
"What I learned from my experience on the show is that, yo, love can happen in a condensed amount of time," Mike observes.
He notes that this is "based on the experienced that you go on with one another."
Speaking of Mike finding love, he may not need a show for that after the way that the gorgeous Demi Lovato has been thirsting on social media.
"It made me feel sexy," Mike says of getting that kind of attention from a famously beautiful celebrity.
"It made me feel good," he admits. "I mean, it's pretty awesome, it's pretty cool."
"She is still a human being, just like I am," Mike affirms. Good that he has such a healthy sense of perspective.
"If we were to meet up," Mike predicts. "I'm not going to be giddy at all."
Well, if Mike and Demi end up in a relationship, that could quash a lot of dreams of him being the Bachelor.
But it sounds like he has a real chance.
