Amber Portwood has seen her share of ups and downs over the years.
But these days, it's all downs for the troubled Teen Mom OG star.
In July, Amber was arrested on domestic violence charges.
Now, new episodes of the show are shedding light on just how bad things got between Portwood and her most recent ex, Andrew Glennon.
It's not pretty, but Teen Mom drama rarely is.
Take a look:
A Happier Time
Amber and Andrew were never an ideal couple, but we're just now learning how ugly their situation was in the final days of their relationship.
In the past, Amber has been praised for her candor with regard to her struggles with mental illness.
But she's also been accused of using her diagnosis to justify her most appalling behavior, a tendency the cameras seemed to have captured on Monday night's episode.
One scene showed Andrew driving Amber to an appointment with her psychiatrist. Sounds uneventful -- but when Amber's involved, there's sure to be drama.
Sharing Her Truth
"Because I struggle with bipolar and borderline personality disorder, I sometimes have mood swings and that can be tough on my relationship," she said in a confessional segment at the start of the show.
Not Returning the Favor
"Andrew has always been supportive of me, but I want him to better understand what I go through on a daily basis," she added.
Kind Of Blue
Amber told her therapist that she had been "getting pretty depressed" and the two of them agreed that she might fare better if she left Indiana in favor of someplace where it "wasn't snowing literally 10 months a year."
The Leah Factor
But there was one major problem with that plan -- Amber doesn't want to be away from her daughter, who lives with her father in Indiana.
A Tough Situation
On the drive to her psychiatrist's office, Amber opened up to Andrew about her recent anxiety attacks, saying, "It's hard living a life like this."
Portwood surprised Glennon when she revealed that she wants people to "think of me as being dainty,"
Don't Do It, Bro!
This comment led Andrew to try and make light of the situation, which was obviously a huge mistake.
"You just gotta be dainty then," Andrew quipped with a smile. And for some reason, this comment set Amber off.
"That's easy for you to say, you're not listening to a word I'm saying. Your jokes are not appreciated at this time," she shouted.
"We're speaking right now and you're joking. You're not listening," Portwood ranted. "You're the worst person to talk to about this, honestly. Sometimes I just need my baby to talk to me. It's like talking to a friggin' clown."
Apologizing to the Wrong Person
Once she arrived at her psychiatrist's office, Amber made it clear that she feels bad about the way she mistreated Andrew.
"On the way here I was getting frustrated with him making light jokes of certain things and I know that's just him trying to make me, make it light, but to me, I'm like, no!" she said.
"I think it's his way of trying to help me lighten up and be happier and I should be more grateful for that, but for some odd reason it bothered me today," she added.
And That's New?
Amber described herself as "very irritable" in recent weeks, adding that "everything" has been annoying her "to the point of getting enraged."
A Trigger Warning
"I just wish I didn't get triggered so f--king easily," Portwood told her therapist, "iI's like a ticking time bomb. I'm there man, I'm right there. It's not me."
As we were already aware, that time bomb went off in a big way last month. And we now know the show will deal with Amber's latest legal drama in next week's season finale.
A preview for the episode showed Amber's mug shot and hinted at some courtroom drama.
Amber was arrested on July 5 after allegedly attacking Andrew with a machete while he was holding the couple's 1-year-old son.
Making an Effort
To her credit, she was seeking help for her mental health in the weeks before the incident.
Unfortunately, it seems it was too late to prevent the time bomb from exploding.
Tough Road Ahead
And unfortunately, it seems Amber's legal drama is just beginning.
