One of the coolest things about being on Teen Mom is that you can totally make a lot of money for you and your family.
Like, a lot.
The moms and original dads of the MTV franchise make hundreds of thousands per season, if you can even believe it.
They also get to travel for free when filming, which is pretty neat since we’ve been seeing more vacations on the show.
At least in pre-Covid times. Anyway …
But besides the show itself, cast members are pulling in crazy amounts of cash from all kinds of wild and crazy places these days.
“Like where?” you may be wondering.
Well, wonder no further …
Not only do we have the freshest intel on how the Moms make their loot, we finally know exactly who’s the wealthiest.
So scroll on for the latest, and as a bonus you can enjoy the slow financial declines of Jenelle Evans. You know you’ve been waiting for this!
Dang
As we’ve said, the original cast members — the moms and the dads of their first children — all make the same amount, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000 to $400,000 a season. But what else does everyone do?
Jumping Right In

Before we get to HOW they make their money, let’s give you what you came here for: the info on how much the cast members are reportedly worth. Keep in mind that it’s difficult to know exactly what a celebrity’s net worth is, especially when you consider how much some of the Teen Mom crew spends in lawyer fees, but we’ll do our best, OK?
Jade Cline – $250,000
Jade is a newcomer, which means her salary isn’t as high as the other girls’. But she’s got some side hustles (like selling diet gummies), and she’s already attained a net worth of around $250,000.
Cheyenne Floyd – $450,000
Cheyenne is also one of the newer cast members, but at the time she joined the cast, she was already known to some fans from her appearances on Are You The One. Ms. Floyd is worth $450,000.
Jenelle Evans – $30,000
There was a time that Jenelle’s net worth was much, much higher — just a few years ago, it was reported to be around $2 million. However, more recent reports claim that she’s now worth about $30,000. This makes sense, considering she doesn’t appear on the show anymore and she and David Eason have burned through so much of her reality show fortune paying for lawyers and court fees.
Briana DeJesus – $750,000

Briana’s a born hustler. The combination of Teen Mom 2 stardom and multiple business ventures has brought her to a net worth of $750,000.
Amber Portwood – ???
This one is interesting, because while some sites list Amber’s net worth at a little over a million dollars, quite a few claim that these days, her net worth is only $10,000. Considering how little she seems to do and how often she’s had to pay for lawyers, we have to imagine to $10,000 figure is much closer to the truth.
Maci Bookout – $1.5 Million
Maci is another Teen Mom with some serious hustle, so it makes sense that she’s worth well over a million dollars.
Leah Messer – $1.2 Million
Meanwhile, Leah is worth somewhere between $750,000 and $1.2 million. Good for her, right?
Catelynn Lowell – $1.3 Million
Catelynn lives pretty frugally compared to most of her fellow Teen Moms, so a $1.3 million net worth makes sense. Tyler’s is reported to be about the same.
Kailyn Lowry – $1.7 Million
Now we’re getting into the really big bucks. Kailyn Lowry is worth a reported $1.7 million.
Chelsea Houska – $200,000

Again, there are conflicting reports for Chelsea’s net worth, but the most recent reports put it around $200,000.
Farrah Abraham – $1 Million
Love her or hate her, there’s no denying that Farrah’s got some hustle, and that’s why she’s one of the few Teen Moms with a reported net worth of $1 million. Her father has actually claimed that she’s got quite a bit more money that that even, but we can’t really trust that. Still, a million dollars is certainly nothing to shake a stick at.
Amber Portwood
Let’s start with reviewing Amber’s side hustles — this will be the easiest to do, because she really doesn’t have any.
Not Much
She shares articles on her Instagram page, which brings in some money, and she did appear on that one season of Marriage Boot Camp a few years ago, so that’s something.
A Quick Hobby

For a little while there, she got into flipping houses with Matt Baier, but she hasn’t done that since he’s been gone.
Forever Haute

She did have that sketchy clothing company for a little while, Forever Haute, but she hasn’t talked about it in a very long time, and the brand’s Facebook page hasn’t been updated in over three years, so it’s probably safe to say that that’s done.
Well …
Right now, she’s on probation for being convicted of assaulting Andrew Glennon, so her money-making opportunities may be a bit limited.
Net Worth?
As for how much money Amber still has these days, it’s hard to say. She’s had to have earned an insane amount of money of the years, but with all the lawyer fees and court costs she’s had to pay, as well as all the money that’s gone to drugs, she may not have as much as you’d imagine. Especially with the recent news that she’s been sued for not paying the $600 fee for her homeowner’s association — times must be tough, you know?
Gary Shirley

As an original dad, Gary makes the same money that Amber does, but unlike Amber, he’s been very smart with it.
Remarkable
Like, the guy used to sell condoms with his face on them, he knows what he’s doing.
Doing Good

In addition to the condoms, Gary used to sell homemade baked goods — he loves to cook! These days, he owns a few homes that he rents out, and he’s a cop now, too!
Sounds About Right
Gary reportedly has a net worth of around $500,000, which sounds right — all things considered, he just may be set for life.
Matt Baier

While Gary is probably set for life at this point because of his massive salary and his smart choices, Matt isn’t in the same boat at all.
Sorry, Bud

He only appeared on the show for a couple of seasons as Amber’s boyfriend, so his pay was reportedly somewhere around $5,000 to $10,000 per episode.
Ugh

He did Marriage Boot Camp with Amber, so he made something there, and he’s released a book. But these days, he lives in Las Vegas and seems to do quite a bit of gambling. We can’t imagine he has much, if any, of his Teen Mom money left, and if he did, it would probably all go to child support.
Andrew Glennon
Andrew probably earned the same thing Matt did, but unlike Matt, he had a steady career before he became a regular on Teen Mom — he worked in film.
Working Hard

He worked in production on Marriage Boot Camp, which is where he met Amber, and after they started dating, he did some stuff with some buddies for a film. He’s also gotten into day trading and he seems to be doing well with it.
A Mystery
There’s no word on exactly how much money he has these days, but considering that he’s the son of a famous cinematographer who grew up in Malibu, we’d say he’s going to be OK regardless.
Maci Bookout

Moving right along to Maci, who, of course, makes bank from the show. Like most of the moms, she posts articles on social media too, but most of us already know what her biggest side hustle is.
Things That Matter
Along with husband Taylor McKinney, Maci owns a clothing company called Things That Matter, and unlike Amber’s Forever Haute, they put a whole lot of work into it.
Nice
In addition to all that, she works full-time with a social media marketing company — she runs the company, too, but she’s said she keeps all that work “very separate” from her Teen Mom stuff.
Oh Wow
OK, and are you ready for this? Her net worth is speculated to be somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5 MILLION DOLLARS. Not too bad for a teen mom, huh?
Ryan Edwards

It’s going to be a bit of a shock to go from discussing Maci’s amazing work ethic to talking about Ryan’s, but, well, here we are.
Interesting

When you think of Ryan these days, you may focus on all the drugs and the arrests, but he actually does have a work history besides Teen Mom — he used to be a lineman.
Hmm

A couple of years ago Mackenzie Standifer claimed that he still worked as a lineman, and that he was also a diesel mechanic, but we’re not sure if he’s still doing any of that. It seems kind of unlikely, considering how much time he’s spent in jail and rehab over the past few years, but we really don’t know for sure.
Sad

Unfortunately, he probably doesn’t have too much money left — Mackenzie has claimed that he spent $10,000 a week on drugs at the height of his addiction.
Mackenzie Standifer

Speaking of Mackenzie, girl works a couple of days a week at her dad’s office. She was in nursing school at one point, but we’re not if that’s still happening.
So Many Plans!
A while back, she announced a new career as an event planner, but like so many other Teen Mom ventures, that doesn’t really seem to be a thing anymore.
Taylor McKinney
But back to Maci’s guys — Taylor, as we said, owns Things That Matter with Maci and he does a ton of work to keep things going. Another thing he puts a lot of work into, though not for money? He coaches Bentley’s Little League team. How cute is that?
Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra
We can put Catelynn and Tyler together here, since neither of do much to earn money outside of the show.
Tierra Reign
They did have a children’s boutique called Tierra Reign there for a while, and they were involved in everything from designing the clothes to working on the photo shoots to actually shipping out the orders, but we haven’t heard anything about it for several months now, so who knows it it’s even still a thing.
Oh No
Oh, but Cate did sell essential oils for a hot minute — she hasn’t talked about them in a while, so she may have given them up or she may be keeping it off social media since she did get some criticism for it.
Moving on Up
In place of the essential oils, she’s really been going hard at selling a baby food subscription service for a while now. She’s also been showing a lot of interest in cosmetology, but it’s too soon to say if that will really go anywhere.
Weird
Some sources claim that the Baltierras are worth about $1.5 million, while others put the number closer to $40,000. It’s hard to say, but they do own at least two homes, including their large, beautiful farmhouse. Otherwise, they really don’t live too extravagantly — their biggest expenses are probably sending family members to rehab.
Farrah Abraham

OK, so Farrah isn’t on the show anymore, but we all know she’ll always be known for it, and besides, how can we talk about hustling and NOT talk about Farrah?
Facts

Whether you love her or hate her, there’s no denying that she used her Teen Mom fame to jumpstart a whole bunch of different careers — there was her sex tape, her erotic romance novels, her sex toys, her cam girl stuff …
Impressive

It hasn’t been just sexy stuff, either — she’s released a children’s book and a memoir, and there was even an album. Like, she’s even come out with a pasta sauce.
So Much Hustle

A few years ago, she opened three stores — the frozen yogurt shop, her children’s boutique, and a furniture store. Those are all gone now, but hey, at least she kind of tried, right?
Just. So. Much.
In the past, she sold dates for $5,000 a pop, which a lot of people think was a cover for prostitution. That’s been a rumor for a while now, that she’s been working as an escort. Like we said, whether you love her or hate her, you can’t deny she snatched up that opportunity to get money any way she can.
Sorry, Girl

Farrah’s a difficult one to pin down when it comes to net worth — at one point, it was estimated to be about $5 million, but the most recent estimate is closer to $1 million. Then again, she has that huge lawsuit over the lease of her former stores that she keeps avoiding, so we imagine her wealth could continue to dwindle down.
Cheyenne Floyd
Unlike the other moms who all got their start on 16 and Pregnant, Cheyenne appeared on other MTV reality shows as an adult before she was cast on Teen Mom — she’s been on two other shows, The Challenge and Are You the One?
Good Job, Cheyenne!
And since she had so much extra time before becoming a mom — she had her daughter when she was 24 — she was able to get a degree in public relations and start her own fashion line, which is still running today.
Not Too Shabby!
Cheyenne’s net worth is reportedly in the neighborhood of $500,000 — pretty good when you remember that she’s only been a reality star for a few years now!
Cory Wharton
Cory, Cheyenne’s ex and the father of her child, also had a reality show background before coming to Teen Mom. But right now, in addition to appearing on the show, he has a job as a fitness coach and he models sometimes, too. Like Cheyenne, he’s reportedly worth somewhere around $500,000.
Mackenzie McKee
Mackenzie is one of the newer regular cast members — she got her start on the short-lived Teen Mom 3, but was later introduced as a cast member on OG midway through a season — so you know she’s had other things going on.
Body by Mac
It seems like she’s put most of her effort into Body by Mac, her series of health and fitness programs. You can go to her website, purchase a program, and she’ll help you meet your body goals, whatever they may be.
Plenty of Time
There’s not really much information out there about her net worth, which makes sense — she only did the one season of Teen Mom 3 several years ago, and she’s still making the smaller salary for Teen Mom OG. If she continues to do the show though, there’s plenty of time for her to earn much, much more money.
Josh McKee
Meanwhile, Josh, her estranged husband, has always been a rodeo star. Really, just a rodeo guy.
Chelsea Houska
Moving right along to the Teen Mom 2 crew — let’s start with Chelsea, who’s experienced quite a bit of success on the side lately.
Memories
Back in the day she used to work as an esthetician, but she stopped to be a stay-at-home mom when she got pregnant with Watson. Well, a stay-at-home mom who also pulled in hundreds of thousands of dollars on a reality show.
Fashion
But recently she’s started doing a lot in the fashion world — she’s designed a couple of very well-received lines of diaper bags for a brand called Itzy Ritzy, and she’s been releasing clothes with online boutique Lauriebelles.
There’s More!
And as if that wasn’t enough, she’s also been collabing with another company on a collection of glasses!
Still Not Done
And because she’s really striking while the fame iron is hot, she recently announced a home good lines called Aubree Says.
Cool, Cool
Chelsea’s suspected net worth? About $200,000. But with her increasing work as an influencer and her departure from Teen Mom 2, it’s tough to say what will happen in the future!
Cole DeBoer
Cole, Chelsea’s dreamboat of a husband, was actually part of the collections of diaper bags and glasses, but he’s pretty busy with his day job — he’s a traffic control specialist. It’s worth noting, however, that many fans suspect he’s secretly quit that day job, but he’s making money either way, because he’s been becoming a bit of an influencer in his own right.
Adam Lind
It feels kind of pointless to even mention Adam Lind here, but it should go without saying that he has no net worth listed anywhere. He hasn’t been on the show in a few years, he’s done meth, and he’s been arrested countless times for things failing to pay child support and domestic violence. We sincerely doubt he’s doing well in any way.
Kailyn Lowry
Kailyn is another one who has quite a lot going on outside of filming. She’s got her podcast, which has been running smoothly for a while now, and also her hair care company.
Money Moves

She’s written several books now, a few autobiographical ones and also a children’s book. It feels like she’s setting herself up for life after Teen Mom, which is probably a good plan.
Questionable
She’s also been selling Scensty for several years now, and she’s apparently doing pretty well with it — she’s been able to go on some big trips for selling so many products.
Fluctuating
Kail’s net worth is listed as anywhere from $25,000 to well over $1 million. It might be more difficult to pin hers down because of her growing businesses, how often she moves homes, etc., but it’s probably safe to say that she’s doing all right.
Jo Rivera

Jo is pretty quiet about his life outside Teen Mom, but his Twitter bio says that he’s a “real estate entrepreneur,” so there’s that!
Javi Marroquin
Javi has had a few things going on since he joined the show — the first major one being that whole military thing. After he got with Kailyn, he joined the Air Force, and last year he transitioned from active duty to the reserves.
Neat
That gives him plenty of time to dedicate to the gym he opened last year — yep, he owns and operates a Crossfit gym, which is a pretty big side gig, right?
Chris Lopez
We have no idea what exactly Chris Lopez does. He’s said in the past that he doesn’t have a traditional job, but that he has three sources of income, and one is woodworking. He said he pays his bills, though Kailyn has said that he doesn’t pay for anything when it comes to their children.
Jenelle Evans
Oh, Jenelle … like Farrah, she’s no longer a cast member, but we simply can’t leave her out, can we?
Ads Ads Ads

After the show really started pulling in money, she didn’t do much on the side besides ads on Instagram — that classic flat tummy tea, you remember. She keeps trying to do ads, even now, but most of them do end up getting pulled when companies find out what an awful person she is.
Short-Lived
Eventually she did start selling merch — t-shirts and hoodies with some popular quotes of hers on them, like the one that just said “Dude.” In addition to that, it took her literal years to get JE Cosmetics going.
Success!
She was off the show by the time she finally got it going, but hey, she did sell a couple of brow kits, so we can’t hold that against her, can we?
Remember That?
Oh, and she and David had that boat cleaning business for a hot minute, remember? That was something.
OK
Good ol’ Jenelle is reportedly worth about $30,000. Again, this may or may not be accurate, especially since we imagine she’s spent a pretty penny in the past year with all the court cases. And now that she’s off the show with no real business prospects on the horizon … well, it’s not going to be great.
Nathan Griffith
Nathan had been on the show for so long by the time Jenelle got fired that it feels wrong leaving him off the list, but honestly we don’t really know what he’s done for the past several years besides being on the show. He goes to the gym a lot, so … yeah, we’ve got nothing.
David Eason
David was a welder when he first started dating Jenelle, but he quit soon after. Besides that boat cleaning thing we just talked about, we really can’t think of anything else he’s done to contribute to the family’s income, and in fact he seems to really drain it with his inability to behave like a decent human being.
Briana DeJesus

Briana, like Mackenzie, got her start on Teen Mom 3 before being placed on Teen Mom 2 a couple of years ago, so she doesn’t make the same amount as the girls who have been on the show from the beginning.
Oh Good
Luckily for her, she’s had a regular full-time job this whole entire time — she works a 9-5 job with a company that sells timeshares.
Good for You, Bri
Besides filming the show, working five days a week, and raising her two girls, she doesn’t have time for much more hustling … but she’s doing plenty.
Wow

In addition to her day job and filming for the show, Briana does social media sponsorships with various companies, and she’s even opened up her own salon.
Seriously, Good for You
Briana’s said to be worth $750,000. This might be a little confusing since some of the moms who have been around a lot longer have a lower net worth, but it does make sense — she’s always had her day job, after all, and she doesn’t seem to throw her cash around like some of the others.
Devoin Austin
Devoin, the father of Briana’s older daughter, Nova, works as a server at a restaurant in Orlando. Briana has repeatedly called him a deadbeat in the past, but he strongly denies it.
Luis Miguel
Luis is the father to Stella, Briana’s younger daughter. After he knocked her up, Briana gave him some money to get started in a truck-driving career. He still does that, and he gives Briana anywhere from $150 to $200 a week (and crabs when he’s in town).
Leah Messer

Leah doesn’t seem to do much outside of the show these days, but that wasn’t always the case — remember when she used to sell those awful Lipsense lipsticks?
Bless Her

She’s also tried her hand at motivational speaking, and she finally released a memoir that did get a ton of buzz. You know, for a Teen Mom memoir.
Makes Sense

To be fair, her hands have to be pretty full right now with three daughters, one with a terminal illness and constantly declining health. A lot of people in her shoes would take the time to spend with her kids instead of making more money on top of an already outrageous salary.
What a Difference
Figuring out Leah’s net worth is a bit confusing — several people have it listed as $50,000, but one source claims it’s more like $750,000. Considering that she had a major spending problem a few years ago and a child that requires lots of medical care, the first estimate makes more sense, but when you consider that she lives in a place with an extremely low cost of living and doesn’t appear to spend much money on frivolous things anymore … well, it’s just hard to say.
Corey Simms

Corey doesn’t appear on the show a whole lot, so his “side hustle” is really just a regular job — he’s a meter reader for a water company.
Jeremy Calvert
Jeremy has a full-time job as well — more than full-time, really, as he travels all over the country as a pipeline engineer. For him, Teen Mom is his side job.
Get Yours, Jeremy
He’s also opened his own bar recently, so that’s something.
