It took a long while, but we can finally confirm what we presumed all along…
… but which TLC only just made official:
Sister Wives is coming back for Season 14!
We haven’t seen Kody Brown and his better halves for awhile, but this will change when the calendar flips to 2020.
When will new episodes premiere? And what sort of storylines will be featured next year?
Consider yourselves SPOILER WARNED and scroll down to find out:
When Did We Last See the Browns on TV?

Season 13 wrapped up with the second half of a tell-all special back on April 21, 2019. You remember the main takeaway from that finale, right?
It Centered on Meri and Kody’s Failing Relationship

“What we’ve had to do is discover our new baseline,” Kody explained about how things were falling apart with Meri, but how they were trying to save their spiritual marriage.
Has the Pair Figured Things Out?

“The past is gone,” Kody said on this special, referring to Meri’s catfishing scandal and all the issues the couple has faced, adding: “I am cutting off everything that was the past. It’s a new date, it’s a new girlfriend, it’s a new person, but we have a history and we also know each other.”
And Yet… Meri Seems So Unhappy These Days

She sure does. She seems constantly lost and sad and confused on Instagram, which may help explain this line from the official Season 14 synopsis: “Tensions with first wife, Meri, are still unresolved and she goes back into therapy with Kody to try to fix their relationship.”
Sounds Heavy. What Else Can Fans Expect on Season 14?

According to this same network description, the move from Las Vegas to Arizona will be at the crux of basically everything. To quote from TLC again: “The sister wives have just moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, where they find that the ups and downs of their family’s polygamist lifestyle are as dramatic as they’ve ever been.”
Down with the Browns!

It sounds as if things will get both ugly and personal next year, too, as “angry neighbors drive one wife out of her rental house,” TLC teases. “And the cost of the many properties the family needs for Kody’s four wives and many kids are threatening a financial disaster.”
YIKES!

We know, right? Sounds pretty troublesom. How does Kody respond? We turn again to TLC: “In hopes of reducing this burden, Kody makes plans for the whole family to build one giant house, but the wives are not so sure. And an argument erupts when the Browns try to divide up their new property.”
Sounds Like a Depressing Season

Not entirely! TLC previews all there is to “celebrate,” noting specifically: “Meri’s daughter, Mariah, and her girlfriend, Audrey, get engaged and Janelle’s daughter Madison has a second baby!”
Are Any Wives Actually Happy, Though?

Reports indicate that Kody and Robyn just bought a mansion, so this is one relationship that does appear to be stable.
Can the Same Be Said About Meri?

Gosh no. Someone close to Sister Wives actually thinks Meri will soon leave the program, meaning this could be her final season.
Where Does Kody Stand on All of This?

We wish we knew. But the family patriarch almost never says anything in public about the series or his wives or where any of these romances stand. Which we guess could be construed as being respectful about everyone’s privacy.
Okay, So… When Does Season 14 Premiere?

TLC just made this announcement! New episodes premiere on Sunday, January 5 2020 at 10/9c.
