On 90 Day: The Single Life Season 3, Natalie Mordovtseva has a new look and a new love.
At least, that was what she hoped to find in Josh.
The hard-working DILF is successful and charming and calm enough to balance out Natalie’s high-strung nonsense.
On last week’s episode, the two finally sealed the deal.
That is a big deal for Natalie, in particular, who tends to be reserved about intimacy.
Now, she has a whole new attitude. Unfortunately, it is not a positive change.
Check out our Season 3, Episode 4 recap for the emotional roller coaster that Natalie took herself and Josh on the morning after.
Natalie woke up on the wrong side of the bed
It’s morning, and Josh is sweetly preparing breakfast and clearly in a good mood. The two of them have spent a few days together. They’ve now slept together, which is a huge deal for Natalie.
But she is burying herself in her tablet
She doesn’t want Josh to touch her, which he interprets as playful. Without hearing her voiceover (recorded later) he has no way of knowing that anything is wrong, because she has not told him.
So what’s the issue?
Natalie is extremely unclear, here, meaning that she is not only not communicating with Josh, but not doing a great job of communicating her feelings to the viewer. Basically, Josh only had this limited time to spend with her, so he has to go to work. This was the plan the whole time, but Natalie is feeling some kind of way about it.
With Mike, she says, she didn’t put her feelings first
We seem to recall Natalie expressing a lot of feelings, throwing the engagement ring back at him, demanding that Mike eat different foods. But, in her mind, she did not assert herself enough during that relationship. She hopes to do things differently with Josh. But what exactly does that mean?
Josh has laid out a breakfast spread for Natalie
But she is withdrawn and silent for an extended period of time. When she finally talks to Josh, who again has no idea that anything is “wrong,” she complains that she has given him her time but he has no time for her.
“I’m here right now. And I have this time for you.”
But Natalie tells him that a man who does not care about her feelings is not really her man.
“Why would you call me here if you’re busy? Come on”
Josh assures her that he has had a good time with her this week, but she has decided that this amount of time together is not good enough. Then, instead of talking things out, Natalie storms over to the bathroom and complains that Josh is “calm.”
WTF?
Producers are just as lost as we are, and ask Josh what exactly is going on while Natalie camps out in the bathroom. He has absolutely no idea. Things were going great, and now she’s acting angry, hostile, and weird.
Josh tries to talk to her
Natalie, who complains to the camera that she wants Josh to fight for her, tells him that she’s too busy in the bathroom to talk to him now.
But when she emerges, he’s still there
Natalie tells him that sleeping with him was a big deal for her, but she feels like it was not for him.
Natalie feels neglected and used
She struggles to express this to Josh, mostly just giving the impression that she is angry. It is hard for him to understand where she is coming from.
Josh leaves, totally bewildered
He notes to the camera that Natalie knew all along that this was his limited timeframe, because he has to work. And he adds that his children are disappointed when he has to work but they understand it better than Natalie seems to. His children are 5, by the way.
Natalie has grown increasingly angry
At the beginning, she was standoffish. Now she has worked herself up into anger, while Josh has no idea what went wrong. In her mind, having sex with him meant that she would have him be the father of her future, hypothetical children … and, one imagines, also make him irresponsible enough to throw away work responsibilities to spend more time with her right now?
But that is not what Josh did
As he noted, he is not a 15-year-old, but a grown man with professional obligations. He can’t abandon all of that just because Natalie dickmatized him. How she has turned this into him “using” her is a little confusing. It is often difficult to follow Natalie’s train of thought.
Now, the sobbing portion
Last night, Natalie had a nice date with a man who likes her. This morning, he listened to her grievances, prepared her breakfast, and told her goodbye and that he intends to message her again if she doesn’t block his number. Naturally, she’s in bed sobbing. Natalie has every right to feel however she likes, but it seems incredibly weird.
