So the veteran reality star basically said on the April 15 episode of Teen Mom 2.
Messer took viewers by surprise when the subject of her family and its future was broached, admitting that she may not be done having children.
Granted, it would help if she were in a serious relationship before this dream of expansion turned into a reality – but Messer is just 26 years old.
She has plenty of time to settle down with someone and try again … or get back together with Jeremy Calvert. Wait, what?

Two. She gave birth to her twins back when she was dating Cory Simms, while she shares Adalynn with ex Jeremy Calvert.
She Hasn’t Expressed Much Interest in Getting Pregnant Again…
… except that she was at her OBGYN on this Teen Mom 2 episode in order determine the form of birth control that would work for her after getting more serious with boyfriend Jason Jordan.
Messer Has Since Split from Jordan
But the episode was filmed many months ago.
What Did Messer Tell the Doctor?
While she admitted to using the Plan B pill “as needed,” which is pretty controversial on its own, the mother of three wanted to get on something a lot more stable to ensure there was no surprise in their relatively new relationship.
But Here’s The Thing:
“As crazy as it sounds, I would want to have another kid,” Messer told a friend. “I would. Like, I miss the baby stage, and I love kids so much.”
Surprising, Right?
“Not even just that, I want to share that with the person I am gonna spend the rest of my life with,” she said, sort of romantically.
To Reiterate:
Messer said this when she and Jordan seem to be moving toward a possible engagement. We’re not sure if she would say this now that she’s single again.
And She is VERY Single
“It was just a toxic relationship. It wasn’t great,” Messer has since told Us Weekly of dating Jordan, to whom she no longer speaks.
Messer Adds a Caveat
“Maybe it’ll be Jason, I hope it is because I love him and I want to be with him,” Leah said of her then-romance, adding to this same friend: “But I’m also not ready for a kid right now.”
So This is Really More of a Long-Term Hope
Which is smart and healthy of Messer to acknowledge. She has three kids at the age of 26. There’s no rush.

Back to the Teen Mom 2 scene in question: While Leah was interested in getting another IUD, the gynecologist told Messer her uterus’ unusual shape wouldn’t be conducive for the implant.
What About The Pill?
And while the reality star said she was “tempted” to try the famous Pill, Messer ended up going with the Nuvaring, which she was using before, yet caused issues with her skin breaking out into acne.
Looking to the Future
Messer is trying to take the long view now that she is single again. This is what she wrote on Instagram after she broke up with Jordan: “Some things are meant to happen, just not meant to be. Some things are meant to come into your life, just not meant to stay.”
Is There Any Chance She Gets Back Together with Jason?
No, it is “definitely done,” she tells Us Weekly.
Is She Ready to Mingle Again?
It doesn’t sound that way, actually. “You don’t know who’s in it for the right reasons and who is not in it,” Leah has said. “Being on TV makes it difficult dating. I just roll with it. I’m not looking for anything.”

It sounds that way, considering Messer only wants to welcome a child with someone she truly loves.
