Earlier this week, 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? star Larissa Lima explained shy she had “abandoned” her two kids in Brazil.
But fans have a lot of questions about a lot more than just her family.
Some of the questions that Larissa receives on social media, day in and day out, are downright cruel.
Despite the mean-spiirited origins of many of these questions, Larissa decided to respond.
In some cases, her answers are illuminating.
In others, it’s just fun to watch her casually deflect the hate that trolls spew at her.

Unfortunately, in this case, the term “fan” is fairly relative. Larissa was bombarded with some of the nastiest, cruelest messages. The real surprise is how many she answered. …
What gives her strength?
“God, family, and friends,” Larissa answers. But she’s the first to admit that she invites adversity. “I do like to be controversial,” she confesses. “I believe it is better than boring.”
But why is she so darn dramatic?
Larissa cites having watched La Usurpadora, a 1990s telenovela. Paola Bracho is an infamous television villain from that series.
Did she really get nothing from Coltee?
“My green card was canceled,” Larissa grimly confirms. “I’m still the one responsible for my success.”
Why doesn’t she talk about Colt?
Larissa cites her divorce agreement, which forbids either party from disparaging the other. For Larissa and Colt, that basically means that they can’t even discuss the other. Larissa asks that people stop asking her about Colt.
Is she a gold digger?
No, Larissa says that she is a founding member of the “cheap digger strong women club.” Left with nothing, she notes, she is “with my own strength building my life.”
We know where THAT question came from
90 Day Fiance is a heavily edited show, and has portrayed Larissa as having an obsession with material possessions — even comically expensive ones.
Naturally, the questions about Eric
Eric Foster is her younger, handsome boyfriend, but some anon decided to ask if he’s gay. He’s … her boyfriend. Larissa says that these questions are popping up because Eric isn’t pursuing fame, so people are trying to get a rise out of him so that he’ll share more.
Is Larissa a “gold digging hoe?”
“The point is, ‘if you don’t have to hide yourself with this stupid dog snapchat filter, will you be a happy hoe?'” Larissa responds. We think that her point is that she’s deflecting from the insult and saying that she’s content to be seen as attractive.
Why is she so “vulgar?”
Larissa responds to this very mean question about why she puts her body on display by writing: “Next time, don’t open my Instagram in front of your husband.” Clearly, her point is that she’s both attractive and popular — otherwise, this hateful troll wouldn’t have commented.
Does she have an agent?
Larissa DOES have an agency representing her. That doesn’t mean that she’s necessarily pushing to appear on a new show. It would be interesting to see her and Erickee on a show like Marriage Boot Camp, but he’s not thirsty for fame and they also don’t have the requisite relationship struggles … as far as we know.
Has she forgotten about her children?
Larissa obviously has not, but like the rest of us, she’s a little terrified by the expensive housing market — so she deflects by discussing the expense of purchasing a house large enough to raise a family in.
So let’s unpack some of that
Larissa didn’t have to open up as much as she did, but she knows that she had her detractors and she clearly wanted to show that she is unbothered.
So, about the Green Card thing
Colt made it pretty clear earlier this year that he was making his case to immigration officials that he and Larissa are no longer married. Between a divorce after just half a year and her three arrests, a canceled Green Card was all but inevitable.
So … how long can she stay?
There are a number of other visa options that she could try. Additionally, despite her role as a public figure, she could even be overstaying her visa. And there’s always a chance that things could get a lot more serious between her and Eric.
Which brings us to another big topic
Larissa and Eric seem to be in a very good place after three months or so of dating. It’s no surprise that her detractors are targeting him.
“Accusations” like that just make you look clownish
Claiming that Eric must be gay isn’t an insult at him, but it’s intended to insult Larissa, suggesting that maybe he’s just with her for fame or that he couldn’t possibly be interested in her. Super rude, super childish.
It’s good that she has reps
That’s probably how she’s gotten so many endorsement deals, including her recent post about bleaching her privates until they’re SUPER pink.
That wasn’t the first deal she got
She got her hair done and had elements of her face tweaked, and you know that she didn’t get it done for fun. Larissa’s financial situation was such that she had to rely upon fan donations to afford her attorneys.
The work on her face was pretty subtle
In exchange for public endorsements, she underwent changes to her face, including fillers that changed her jawline.
Remember, she doesn’t even have her own home
Larissa has been living with her good friend, Carmen, since January 11. She’s not treating herself to beauty treatments — she’s building her brand.
As for the topic of her two kids back in Brazil …
We know every little, except that they’re not roaming the streets. They’re with family. We don’t know all of the details of Larissa’s life before she came to the US, but we’re sure that her backstory is as complicated as she is.
Good for her for answering those questions at all
Some people are cruel to famous people because they’re unhappy in their own lives and they hope that, by eliciting a reaction, they can make themselves feel more powerful. It’s an explanation, not an excuse. Clearly, a lot of those questions came from trolls.
