At Home with Kim…
For this feature story, the author spent many hours interviewing Kim inside her home, thereby learning unique things about the star and how she lives on a daily basis. For example?
Her Home is Oddly Quiet
“My kids just arenâÂÂt that loud… My dogâÂÂs even quiet; itâÂÂs the craziest thing,” Kim says in response to this tidbit, thanking The Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan, for helping with her canine in this regard.
Home is Where the Heart Is… But Nothing Else

Kim says she lives in a “label-less house,” with the author noting that the label on her water bottle has even been peeled off. This is because Kim’s house doubles as a TV show set and if the camera catches any sort of label, it would be considered an advertisement.
She’s a Neat Freak!
“My life is chaotic, so my home is super simple. Everything has to be clean. No clutter,” Kim explains in this piece.
And It Doesn’t Just Apply to Her House, Either

“I canâÂÂt have a full phone,” she even says. “At the end of the day, I delete everything thatâÂÂs not a current conversation. If I need some information, then I keep it. If not, it has to be deleted. I canâÂÂt see too much noise.”
What Really Bothers Her?
“If things arenâÂÂt organized, I flip out. My kids’ clothes have their name ironed into them on little labels. I know where everything is, and I. Do. Not. Lose. Things.”
What Does She Call Her Kids?
The article notes that North is often called Northy-Lou, Saint is often called Sainty-Boo and Chicago often goes by the simple and sleek Chi.
She Almost Died Giving Birth
Kim suffered from placenta accreta during both deliveries. This is why she chose surrogacy for baby number-three, as she explains here just how close she came to no longer being with us: “After giving birth, your placenta is supposed to come out. But mine was stuck. ThatâÂÂs what women usually die from in childbirthâÂÂyou hemorrhage and bleed to death and they canâÂÂt stop it. To get it out – it’s so disgusting – the doctor had to stick his whole arm in me and scrape it off. It was the most painful.”
Well, Actually…
Kim and Kanye did not technically use a surrogate. We’ll let her expound: “I refer to her as a surrogate, but itâÂÂs completely my and KanyeâÂÂs DNA, so technically thatâÂÂs called a gestational carrier. A surrogate is when they use the husbandâÂÂs sperm and the surrogateâÂÂs egg.”
She Was a Hands-Off Mother-to-Be

“I straight-up told her, ‘Look, I ate doughnuts every single day. If you want doughnuts and ice cream, go for it. Do whatever you feel. IâÂÂm not going to be picky like that. ThatâÂÂs just ridiculous.” (Kim did say, however, that she requested the woman eat organic.)
Overall, It Was a Great Experience

“I hated being pregnant. But as much as I hated it, I still wished I could have done it on my own. The control is hard at the beginning. Once you let that go, itâÂÂs the best experience. I would recommend surrogacy for anybody.”
Would She Have a Fourth Kid?

“I dunno. My home and my heart feel really full right now, in the best way. I donâÂÂt think I could handle more than [four]. My time is spread really thin. And I think itâÂÂs important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.”
And Just How is Kanye?!?

Great, Kim says, adding of her marriage in general: “He’s taught me to have more of an opinion. I’ve taught him to be a bit more calm or cautious. We’re a good balance.”
She Works HARD for Her Money
“I was never one of those people who were handed everything from their parents… Even when I worked in my dadâÂÂs office, I was doing side eBay jobs on my lunch break. I lived a really great life growing up, but we were taught that if we wanted to keep that up, we had to work. At the end of the day, if someone offered me business or fame, IâÂÂd take the business side.”
Go Ahead and Slam Her All You Want
“At the beginning, I looked at peopleâÂÂs opinions. Now IâÂÂm content in my life, and I donâÂÂt care,” she says with confidence, concluding: “The things that make me happy now are different. But I swear, you have to be born for this. ItâÂÂs not for everyone. I know I can handle it.”
