It is a special time to be a member of the Royal Family.
On July 9, Prince Louis was Christened in London , an occasion nearly as exciting and special as the wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle about two months prior.
Several days after this religious ceremony was performed, Kensington Palace has released FIVE official portraits from the Christening.
And they are truly magical.
Captured by photographer Matt Holyoak, the images were snapped in and around Clarence House.
You really need to scroll down and take a close look at them now:
At the Christening (Getty) Photographers were on hand to capture the Christening itself, too. Before getting to the official portraits, here are some snapshots from the ceremony.
A Family Event (Getty) Middleton was accompanied for the big day by her husband and two other kids, Charlotte and George. What cuties, right?
It’s Over! (Getty) Here is this immediate Royal Family walking out of the Christening. What a blessed day for them, one captured for all of eternity by Holyoak.
The Royal Family William and Kate and their kids were surrounded by both sides of their family in the official photo taken at Clarence House. William is seen here with his father, Prince Charles and wife Duchess Camilla, and his brother Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. Kate’s mother and father, Carole and Michael Michael Middleton, stood alongside their children, Pippa and her husband, James Matthews, and James Middleton
With All 3 Kids Princess Charlotte provided us with a cheeky grin in a portrait with her parents and brothers. If a picture says one thousand words, these words would all be synonyms for “precious.”
It’s Duchess Meghan Markle! And others, too, of course. The picture was taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House, the London home of Prince Charles and his wife, Duchess Camilla.
Mother. Son. Perfection. “I was truly honoured at being asked to take the official photographs at the christening of Prince Louis, and to witness at first hand such a happy event,” Holyoak said, according to The Express. “Everyone was so relaxed and in such good spirits, it was an absolute pleasure. I only hope I have captured some of that joy in my photographs.
Okay, Maybe THIS One is Perfection “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released an additional photograph taken following the christening of Prince Louis,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The Duke and Duchess hope that everyone enjoys this lovely photograph of Prince Louis as much as they do.”
A Cute Comparison (Getty) This was one of the first photos ever snapped of Louis and his mom. It’s always fun to take a look back and see how far a newborn has come in just three months.
The Prince’s Debut (Getty) Middleton had given birth mere hours before this photo was taken. Sort of amazing, right?
A Christening Flashback Here’s a look at Middleton and daughter Charlotte on the latter’s big, religious day.
What About George? (Getty) We didn’t forget about you, kiddo! We throw it back here to the family’s first child and Christening.
Only One Question Now Remains… (Getty) … when will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have THEIR first kid and THEIR first Christening? Come on now! The clock is ticking.
