To say that Kailyn Lowry has a lot on her plate would be a massive understatement.
In addition to being a single mother of three, a podcaster, a bestselling author, and a popular social media personality, Kail handles her near-constant baby daddy drama with grace and dignity.
Which is impressive, because she also doesn’t hide many details of her personal life from her loyal podcast listeners.
Speaking about Javi during the latest episode of Coffee Convos, Kail made some comments that left fans taken aback.
But at the end of the day, it seems she still has respect for the father of her middle child.
Take a look:
Ups and Downs
Though Kailyn and Javi have been divorced for several years now, they still communicate regularly.
For His Sake
In addition to the fact that they share son Lincoln together, Kail and Javi are essentially reluctant business partners.
Co-Parents and Co-Stars

They still share screentime on Teen Mom 2, and Kail and Javi have attempted other projects together, including a collaborative memoir.
Bad Idea
That one didn’t work out, and plans for a book tour were eventually scrapped.
Enter Lauren
On the current season of TM2, Kail and Javi’s relationship has been complicated by his new baby and his engagement to Lauren Comeau.
Comeau Problems
Kail and Lauren avoided each other at Lincoln’s soccer games, and the situation seemed to negatively impact Lowry and Marroquin’s co-parenting relationship.
Podmother
But while speaking about the situation on her podcast this week, Kail revealed that her relationship with Javi is still … stable.
At Least It’s Not Every Day!
“We’re up and down,” Kailyn says. “We fight every other day, it’s a real love/hate relationship…parentship.”
A Long Road
“I’ve been legally divorced for three years now,” Kailyn tells co-host Lindsie Chrisley. “I filed for divorce four years ago, and I didn’t get legally divorced for a whole year.”
Hard Times

Recalling that painful period in her life, Kail says that Javi “lived so different” from her while they were married.
Different Strokes
“Javi had completely different habits than me,” she tells Chrisley.
Learning From Experience
“And now that I’ve been married and divorced, now I don’t know that I could ever live with somebody in that way,” Kail adds.
On Her Own
“I don’t know that I would be able to live with someone again,” Kailyn continues.
Loving the Single Life
“I’ve gotten so used to being by myself. I don’t know that I want to get used to someone’s nasty habits,” she adds.
Creature of Habit

“I have my own habits, let me keep mine to myself and you keep yours to yourself,” Lowry goes on.
The Things We Rememeber …

From there, Kail states that she “hated” when Javi would “leave his s–t all over the floor” during their marriage.
Dodged a Bullet
“As soon as he walked in the door it’s like he dropped what he had right there,” Kailyn explains. “I don’t wanna trip and die.”
Telling It Like It Is
Obviously, Kail is exaggerating for comedic effect, but we’re sure many people don’t realize their lifestyles are incompatible with their partners until after they part ways.
Making It Work
The important thing is that Kail has taken steps to ensure that Javi remains a major part of her son’s life. But hopefully, Marroquin won’t teach his kids to just leave their s–t wherever.
