How Did This Fight Start?

According to various outlets, Jenni and Roger got into it late Thursday/early Friday because JWOWW had to travel again for work and Mathews was sick of her leaving their two young kids, ages two and three.

This Has Been an Ongoing Issue for the Couple

Back when JWOWW asked for her divorce, insiders at the time explained that her work schedule prevented the pair from spending a lot of time together.

But How Did It Spiral Out of Control

While they went back and forth, TMZ now reports, Mathews yanked out his phone and started recording his wife. Jenni asked him to stop. He refused. And when Roger went to bed, Farley called the cops and said he was harassing her.

Mathews Was Blindsided by the 911 Call

And then blindsided even more when authorities escorted him out of his own home and he learned that Farley had been granted an order of protection against him.

Why Would Mathews Film Farley?

To taunt her and prompt an emotional reaction, Snooki claimed in her defense of her pal. But Mathews has said his lawyer advised him to record all his confrontations with Jenni.

It doesn’t forgive it, per se, not when he got so cruel and so personal. But if Mathews was booted from his home in the middle of the night and left with the impression that he was restrained from seeing his kids… we can see why he was so angry.

Said Roger of how a calm discussion turned so chaotic: “Jenni became completely, uncontrollably emotional like she always does and said she was calling the police. And I said, ‘For what? What did I do?’ I said, ‘I’ll call the police myself.'”

Next Thing I Know…

Roger ranted and raved in a multitude of Instagram videos, saying at one point: “So I called the police because I knew she would make some sort of false police report, which is typically Jenni. The last two exes can [attest] to that. I got woken up about 2 o’clock in the morning … by two officers who said she contacted a judge and filed a restraining order.”

He continued: “This is my liberty and my justice. Jenni has more fans than me and more influence than me but what she does not have and has never had is the truth on her side. There is no “my truth” there is only THE TRUTH” and the public is about to see that in its rawest form. No narration needed. Just stay tuned. Justice will prevail in the end. I have nothing to hide.”

Mathews Kept Going and Going, Too

“This is the level my ex wife takes it to after telling my kids their dad is a piece of sh-t and she’s sorry she ever had children with him,” he also said on Instagram. “She gets so emotional and irrational in her anger this is the level she brings it too. Saddest day of my life watching her tell my daughter ‘she is sorry she had children with your daddy’. The truth will come out. The truth will set you free. I will never stop fighting for my kids.”

“I don’t go away for months at a time, for weeks at a time. I’m always there for my children. Always,” Mathews said on Friday. “And I’m not allowed to be there for my children anymore because somebody else is so hate filled that they would do that to the father of their children, to a great father to their children. It’s sad, man. It’s just sad.

Over the weekend, Mathews shared a picture of himself and his son, Greyson, writing as a caption: “Heart half full.”

Snooki shared this on her Instagram page as proof that Farley has no intention of keeping Mathews from his children. She says as much to two police offiers, making a point to tell them that Roger “is not a bad dad.”

“Nicole has never spent a single night in our home in 8 years,” Mathews allegedly wrote in an Instagram comment after the Jersey Shore star stood up for her friend. “You will see the truth come out in the end. Nicole has many [skeletons] in her closet. Many. I have none in mine and will own every aspect of my life. Good and bad. She should stay out of matters that do not concern her.

Wow. So Now What?!?

A New Jersey-based matrimonial lawyer, Vikki Ziegler, spoke to E! News about what the restraining order means for Jenni, Roger and their kids.

She explained that, with a standard restraining order, Mathews would have “no ability to contact JWoww in any context—oral, text or written communications.” Mathews also would not be allowed to “go near her or the children at this point.”

But a Hearing Will Soon Be Scheduled

At that point, Farley should be able to amend the restraining order. She can tell a judge that Mathews is permitted to see his kids, but that she wants him to stay far away from her.

Ziegler also told E! News: “What else could be ordered in the restraining order could be a psychiatric evaluation. “We don’t exactly the genesis of what she’s saying he did to her. The really important point here is if this becomes a final restraining order he will be permanently out of the house and that’s one of the techniques that people use for restraining orders while the divorce is going on.”
