While it's her boyfriend, Colin Kaepernick, who's duly credited as a civil rights icon, many Teen Mom 2 fans are currently praising MTV personality Nessa as a hero.
That's because Nessa locked horns with Jenelle Evans at the taping of this year's TM2 reunion special, and while the episode has yet to air, the host is already being applauded for calling Jenelle out on her bigoted nonsense.
And MTV execs are likely enjoying all the free hype that Nessa generated by taking Evans to task for criticizing Kaepernick and the Black Lives Matter movement on social media.
Now, it seems Jenelle thinks her bosses were in on this thing from the beginning, and she believes the confrontation was their idea.
In response, she's threatening to quit, just like she always does.
But this time, there's reason to believe she might make good on her promise.
Take a look:
Make no mistake, Jenelle is PISSED about the way things went down at the reunion.
Sticking To Her Guns
And now, it seems she might be willing to quit the show that made her famous just to prove a point.
Fulfilling Her Commitment
Despite skipping last year's reunion, Jenelle made the trip to New York to participate in this year's taping.
Following the Rules
Of course, this required her to play ball and follow a number of strict rules in order to ensure that her co-stars felt safe.
Persona Non Grata
For example, Jenelle and her husband, David Eason, were put up in a hotel in Philadelphia, despite the fact that the episode taped in NYC. This was believed to be a concession to the other Moms, who understandably do not feel safe in David's presence.
Betrayal on Set
Jenelle reportedly feels that MTV betrayed her by setting her up to be torn down by Nessa after she jumped through countless hoops to be a part of the taping.
Nessa is currently dating Colin Kaepernick, and she while hosting the reunion, she didn't shy away from confronting Jenelle about her comments regarding the former 49ers quarterback.
She Went There
"'Let's choose the most disrespected guy in the NFL for our promos,'" Evans allegedly wrote on Facebook. "'Lets add a slogan about sacrificing, everyone will love it. Let's choose the man that kneels at our flag.' YOU'RE WRONG. I will not be buying Nike anymore… Nike should change their 'motto' immediately. Nike needs a new PR person pronto."
She Really Thinks She's Funny
"Donald J. Trump unemployment rate is so low, even Colin Kaepernick found a job! MERICA!" Jenelle added.
Jenelle reportedly claims she never made those remarks, but the status updates are still on her Facebook page, so ...
It may be several weeks before we know exactly what Nessa said to Jenelle -- but accounts concur that the host did not go easy on Ms. Evans.
"She lost a lot of trust with producers," an insider tells Radar Online. "She felt like she was set up. MTV shouldn't have had Nessa be the host if she was going to call her out like that."
Rep Steps In
The source adds that a rep for Jenelle "calmed her down and defended her" and attempted to explain away his client's Facebook remarks.
Yeah, We're Not Buying It
"Her rep said Jenelle doesn't know who Nessa is dating," the source claims. "She didn't know what post they were talking about."
The insider adds that Jenelle is now contemplating her next move, saying, "She doesn't want to leave the show, but she doesn't know where she stands. It made her look bad."
Jenelle responded to the situation on Instagram, posting this photo of herself with her husband and daughter, along with a lengthy caption.
"After this stressful reunion, I've been put through the ringer [sic]," she wrote. "To trust an entire group of people for years then they turn their back on you and treat you like a puppet is beyond words."
Rare Praise For Babs
"Family is everything I need to make it through my hard times and I am truly #blessed for what I have today," she added. "Didn't take many pictures but super happy my mom was there by my side to defend everything. Please don't ever let anyone bring you down and be strong in whatever you do."
And it seems Jenelle's stress didn't end with the Nessa confrontation, as both of her previous baby daddies were also on hand for the taping.
The Andrew Factor
The rarely-seen Andrew Lewis reportedly took the stage, where he was confronted by Nathan Griffith.
Lewis the Loser
"They discussed Jace on the reunion show," the source said. "Nathan confronted Andrew, accusing him of not being consistent in trying to see Jace."
Nate the Great
"Nathan said there is no dollar amount or anyone who could keep him from Kaiser, the son he had with Jenelle," the insider added. "Andrew didn't see Jace while he was there. Andrew was put on the defensive and he was so nervous."
We Can't Wait
Due to MTV's policy of keeping the cast members separate, there were concerns that this year's reunion would be boring. But it sounds like Jenelle suffered mightily, which is our idea of a great time!
