Jenelle Evans is desperate.
She’ll do anything. She’ll go anywhere.
She just doesn’t want to lose her job.
In the wake of David Eason killing his family’s dog last week (a sentence we still can’t believe we’ve been writing over and over), chatter of Evans getting fired from Teen Mom 2 has been more prominent than ever.
Here’s the thing, though:
This chatter isn’t really new.
Jenelle has been concerned about her job status for a very long time now, sources tell Radar Online, and has been pleading with producers to keep her around.
How so? What has she offered to do or way? And what does her future actually look like?

What’s been the issue here?
Eason was fired way back in early 2018 due to his many homophobic remarks. And he didn’t exactly calm down or suddenly become sensitive to other people in the months since.
As a result?
MTV simply will not include Eason in any filming… which has been an ongoing problem for Evans because she’s married to this loser and her screen time as been cut as a result.
She’s therefore been left all alone
“No one was filming with Jenelle in North Carolina because they were too afraid of David,†a show source told Radar, meaning Evans hasn’t had any real storylines of late.
And no interesting storylines are the kiss of death
Jenelle is well-versed enough in the ways of reality TV to realize she needs to do something in order to be kept around. She needs to help the show bring in ratings.
A solution!
Evans “begged MTV to let her film with Briana again in Florida,” Radar writes, explaining that Jenelle only really has one friend left on the program (Briana DeJesus) and maybe they could stir up some drama together. But “they shut her down,” this same report adds.
Sorry, but not really sorry
“Jenelle was told that MTV would not pay for her to go to Florida and they weren’t filming her with Briana,” the insider states.
This has been an ongoing concern for Jenelle
Dating back to long before the latest Eason controversy, “Jenelle was worried that she was getting fired when she had no filming scheduled,†the insider tells Radar.
When did she make this Briana proposal to producers?
About a week or two before Eason murdered little Nugget, Radar claims. Now, of course, everything has changed and the focus has shifted once again to Eason and his violent nature.
The pink slip could arrive any day now
“MTV execs have been talking about firing Jenelle as early as this week,†the source continued, with producers unsure how they can justify Jenelle’s presence any longer.
Just consider:
Cameras cannot shoot when her own husband is around — and that very same husband is attacking family pets and freaking out anyone in his vicinity.
For real…
… a local sheriff recently said that Eason is the most dangerous man in a three-county radius in North Carolina.
The writing may already be on the wall
“Jenelle hasn’t filmed once since the reunion. Crews are filming with the other girls, but not her,” the Radar source says of the current season.
Eason controls everything
“Jenelle can’t even go on vacation with just her kids to film,†the insider told Radar. “She doesn’t want to go without David and David won’t let her go without him.â€Â
We’re not kidding
This was a storyline on a recent Teen Mom 2 episode. Jenelle wanted to go on a trip to get away from her husband, but he put his racist foot down and that was that: no trip.
Why doesn’t she just divorce Eason?
Great idea! For the sake of her own family and even for her career, right?
She has claimed this is an option
Evans did use the word “divorce” for the first time in memory after Eason killed Nugget. She claims it’s on the table.
But does anyone believe her?
Within a week of the animal assualt, Evans returned home and is currently residing with Eason.
Why does he have this sort of hold over her?
It’s likely a deep-seated issue. Plenty of abuse victims sadly stay with their abuser.
Jenelle continues to defend Eason against all critics.
She has admitted to being “horrified” by his actions when it comes to Nugget, but still hasn’t taken the only step that would be of consequence here: actually leaving the bigot.
Time will tell, we guess
MTV really has no reason to keep Evans around at this point. She only brings in negative publicity… and not the kind that results in higher ratings. Considering how she’s already been phased out, our money is on Jenelle Evans NOT returning next season to Teen Mom 2.
