There’s No End in Sight
ABC handed out a renewal for two seasons, meaning Grey’s Anatomy will be on the air until 2021.
Ending the Show Will Be Ellen Pompeo’s Decision to Make
Worried about Pompeo leaving and the show going on without her? That’s not going to happen. Series creator Shonda Rhimes told E! News in an interview that she’s following Pompeo’s lead on this one. “Ellen and I have a pact that I’m going to do the show as long as she’s going to do the show. So the show will exist as long as both of us want to do it,†Rhimes said. “If she wants to stop, we’re stopping. So I don’t know if we’ll see 600 [episodes], but I want to keep it feeling fresh. As long as there are fresh stories to tell and as long as we’re both excited about the stories being told, we’re in. So we’ll see where that takes us.â€Â
There Will Be More LinkMelia
Chris Carmack has been promoted to series regular, meaning that there will be more of Link’s relationship with Amelia.
There Will Be More Koracick
Greg Germann has also been promoted, meaning he will be sticking around as Tom Koracick for longer.
There Will Be More Glasses
Levi is in it for the long haul. Jake Borelli has been upped to series regular for Season 16.
Who Will Teddy Choose?
Teddy was in a love triangle between her, Amelia, and Owen at the beginning of Grey’s Anatomy Season 15. By the end, however, she was in one with Tom and Owen. But will Kim stick with Owen after seemingly choosing him at the end of the season? “I think Owen has done a lot of work on himself,†she commented to People on the cliffhanger. “I think they’re in a really great place for this to be an amazing, amazing relationship. Of course, they did have poor Tom there doing the baby crib and eating a sandwich. I was like, ‘Really?’â€Â
What About Jolex?
Alex and Jo’s relationship broke down as a result of Jo’s depression, but will they be able to find their way back to each other? “I hope therapy brings her back to herself and Alex,†showrunner Krista Vernoff told TVLine. “He gets to heal that wound that keeps repeating, where he chooses women who go into mental-health crises. I’d like to see that story complete for him, with Jo returning to him in a way that’s beautiful.â€Â
