Remember Geoffrey Owens from The Cosby Show?
He portrayed the character of Elvin Tibideaux for seven years on this formerly iconic NBC sitcom?
Well… he’s now working part-time as a bagger of groceries at Trader Joe’s, while still booking acting gigs and just trying to make a decent living.
For some reason, Fox News felt a need to shame Owens over this.
Writing an entire article about it and including with it an unflattering snapshot of Owens at Trader Joe’s, the implication was that this is a pathetic job and that Owens had become something of a sad sack.
Why did the network do this?
That’s what pretty much everyone in Hollywood wants to know, as you can see in the following responses on social media…
This is from the Story in Question

And this is the headline of that story on Fox News: ‘Cosby Show’ actor Geoffrey Owens spotted bagging groceries at NJ Trader Joe’s.
Owens Portrayed Sondra Huxtable’s Husband for a Total of 44 Episodes

He’s now working sometimes at a Trader Joe’s in New Jersey. And actors across Hollywood are on the attack against Fox News for thinking this is something that has to be publicized, especially when it’s clear the angle of shame they were going for.

Note to Fox News:

If you wanna shame a former Cosby Show star, we can think of someone who deserves it a lot more.
