On Wednesday, Twitter witnessed a murder.
Ariana Grande and her mother, Joan Grande, just absolutely annihilated Piers Morgan.
See, he went after both Ellen DeGeneres (really!) and Little Mix, because he’s an absurd troll who likes to stir up trouble.
But if you kick enough hornet’s nests, you get stung.
It’s no surprise to see Ariana and her amazing mother doing their share of the stinging.
Piers is a controversy-courting provocateur who fancies himself a journalist and it is always a delight to see him get put in his place.

Mama Grande had time
Joan Grande is a delight, and she doesn’t love to see Piers stir up controversy towards women just to get himself a little attention.
Piers tried to explain himself
One of Piers’ favorite habits is concern-trolling, where he pretends to be a champion of women by … condemning women for what they do with their own bodies.
Joan didn’t care for that
Honeslty, if Joan Grande told me in that tone to have my mother call me … I would change my name and disappear off of the face of the planet.
Joan makes it clear that she’s not going to feed the trolls
She said what she cames to say, and she won’t dignify Piers’ nonsense by giving him any further attention.
She did notice one thing, though …
Ariana had also taken note and was NOT here to listen to Piers shaming these women, either.
Ariana, like her mother, had time today
Ariana spent Wednesday teasing her followers with behind-the-scenes glimpses at her “Thank U, Next” music video, but she saw her mother’s tweets and added her own legendary voice.
Ariana brought the reciepts
Piers Morgan blasted Ellen for “hypocrisy” and Little Mix for daring to show their sinful flesh-prisons. Ariana pointed out that Piers himself is a huge hypocrite who, to the collective horror of humanity, has stripped down for photos. (We don’t say that to body-shame him; it’s Piers himself who fills people with dread)
She did NOT hold back
That is vicious. And it’s also beautiful.
She vocally stood up for Little Mix
Ariana truly is one of the most wonderful people on the planet.
Finally, Ariana offered some words of encouragement
Considering that this is a guy who shames young women for baring their legs but then asks older women about their genitals, this is nicer than Piers deserves.
Like we said, Ariana has been busy
She spent most of Wednesday afternoon revealing to fans that one of the films referenced in her “Thank U, Next” music video is the absolutely legendary “Bring It On.” That includes members of the original film’s cast, folks.
Piers still think that he’s right
Piers is still wrong, and finding an echo chamber of “Moral Majority” moms like it’s 1994 isn’t going to change that.
He doesn’t get it, and he doesn’t want to
Ariana is free to do with her body whatever she likes, but Piers will never accept that. Besides, Piers’ career is essentially that of a Real Housewife. He stirs up drama by saying stupid things and gets his name brought up in yet another news cycle and gets to keep his job. That’s an unfair comparison, though — a lot of Real Housewives have actual talent.
Piers is eager to milk this debate for all it’s worth
