You might think that, by Season 7, Episode 11 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, more people would have their act together.
Rene is trying to play mediator for Angela and Michael. She has her work cut out for her, especially as Angela wants a divorce.
Shaeeda’s work visa has arrived. She can now work as a yoga teacher once she has her own studio space. To no one’s surprise, Bilal is trying to delay this just as he is about having a baby.
Big Ed and Liz’s conflicts have been taking a toll on their dogs. But reigniting their relationship’s spark ends up putting Ed in a world of hurt.
Elizabeth and Andrei break baby news to their dads.
Yara’s apartment-hunting trip in Prague doesn’t go well for her. It doesn’t sit well with Jovi, either.
And despite everything, Kimberly is planning the ultimate romantic gesture for Usman. She’s going to propose … before he goes to meet this young woman.
Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi
Michael is still processing everything with Angela, talking it out with Rene at the hotel, by the pool. Things were going well until he and his wife went to the park.
Rene can see both sides
Even though she is Angela’s friend, she sees toxicity from both of them. Having seen Angela in action with Michael, she can see his side. But she still wonders if his having an Instagram is worth it if it costs him his marriage. Maybe he should pick his battles — and choose another place to stand his ground.
But Michael says that it’s not about the Instagram
If it’s not this, then it’s something else. Angela will never let him make his own choices without giving him grief about it. He knows this.
Unfortunately, Angela joins them
She comes out and begins smoking, as always. And she tells Rene that she doesn’t even want to try to salvage things with Michael.
She also reveals something
While once again getting in Michael’s face — absolutely unacceptable behavior — Angela tells Rene about Michael’s lie. This time, for once, her accusation against Michael is true, because he really did lie to her by promising to take down his Instagram when he did not intend to. He hoped that having a nice night together would let him calm and reassure her. Instead, Angela is back to raging, though at least without any property damage this time. And, through this lie, Michael has hurt his standing with Rene.
Rene feels disappointed
Now, she’s back to seeing things from Angela’s perspective. Michael genuinely screwed up by lying to Angela. Not as big of a mistake as marrying her, of course, but a mistake nonetheless.
Oh, and Angela has more to say
She says that she tasked a friend of hers to investigate Michael’s Instagram since he has her blocked. (You don’t actually need another person to do that … but it’s possible that Angela doesn’t realize that) And she found a comment where Michael called someone else his “person.”
Angela is her usual self about it
Something about many abusers is that even when they have “evidence” to use to accuse their preferred victim, that’s never enough. Angela clearly likes to menace Michael, not only yelling and screaming and belittling him, but doing so in his face, or while standing over him. The idea is that she doesn’t just want to keep him cornered. She wants him cowed.
The damning screenshot?
Michael’s public Instagram received hundreds upon hundreds of comments for his birthday. One of them read “happy birthday.” Michael replied to that friend with “thanks my person.”
Michael says that it’s slang
He’s telling the truth, by the way. We looked it up. While The Bachelor viewers might use “my person” to describe a partner, someone speaking English in Nigeria would say “my person” to refer to a friend.
Angela then begins to cry
Some viewers sometimes feel sorry for Angela. It’s fascinating how good-hearted people sometimes misplace their sympathies, even when they know better.
And there it is
Though Angela is sure to get in Michael’s face again before storming off (while insulting and cussing at him), she tells him that she is divorcing him. We won’t get our hopes up that it really happens, but gee, wouldn’t it be nice?
Bilal Hazziez and Shaeeda Sween
Shaeeda is still leading yoga classes, but she’s doing so remotely. She gets Bilal to come join them. He is less flexible than she is. And he also decides to prank her by having his phone play a disgusting, unmentionable sound effect. Yes, while they are still livestreaming to other people.
Great news!
Shaeeda’s work visa has arrived in the mail. This means that she can now legally work (and receive compensation) in the United States. As we know, the months of marriage before this documentation arrives can be a serious problem for some couples. It’s not just the financial strain (not a problem for this affluent family), but also restlessness and even resentment. Some couples handle it better than others. Shaeeda is eager to work … specifically, to have her own yoga studio, as she and Bilal agreed before they married.
Hold up
It is not a shock to hear Bilal mansplain all of the steps involved in opening a yoga studio. Yes, Shaeeda has run a yoga studio before, but Bilal has a certain way of doing things where he wants to hear your idea, explain all of the difficult hurdles required to reach it, and then encourage you to delay.
Yes, but
Shaeeda just wants to take the first steps. She knows how much is involved in opening her own yoga studio, but it all starts with the first step. In other words, she is wise to how Bilal clearly wants her to delay, and she’s not having it.
What exactly will he encourage her to do?
Bilal doesn’t want to have kids yet. He doesn’t want her to open her yoga studio ASAP, either. What exactly does he imagine that Shaeeda will do with her time? Plenty of people would love to be blissfully childfree and just hang out at home, but that’s not Shaeeda.
Still, they agree to step one
Bilal drops Shaeeda off with two of his coworkers, Stacy and Mimi. But he emphasizes that she’s just window shopping right now. It sounds like he’s humoring her, but whatever, baby steps.
Shaeeda knows these women well
Bilal’s coworkers are successful real estate agents and are seemingly more encouraging of Shaeeda’s dreams than Bilal is.
The first space isn’t a perfect fit
It’s a little large. But Shaeeda does enjoy how these women play up her vision instead of picking it apart, as she knows that Bilal would have in their stead. She’s right. That’s pretty sad, actually.
Ed Brown and Liz Woods
Their precious little dogs have been having behavioral issues, so they speak to a canine behavior expert for “therapy” for the dogs. Obviously, the part that we see of this moment ends up being more about Big Ed and Liz. The tensions that they have had are probably stressing out their dogs, because of course they are.
Good news: Liz is going back to work
She wants to feel more independent and less restless. Ed has used money and even housing insecurity as a cudgel, kicking her out of the house when they argue, so it is a relief to hear that she’s going back to work. Ed tells the camera that he doesn’t like the people with whom she works, but that sounds like a him problem.
Later, Ed is acting goofy again
Big Ed has a tendency to lean into how people perceive him in order to get a laugh. That may sound harmless until you consider how he treats women on camera, and the allegations of sexual misconduct that other women have made. Suddenly, he’s not so silly. It feels more like a smokescreen.
Unfortunately, we have to watch Ed and Liz … bond
Ed has set up a massage table. As lovely as Liz may be, we didn’t necessarily need to watch Ed rub oil into her back. The goal is apparently to reinvigorate their sex life.
No pain, no gain
Liz also waxes Ed’s back. Facial hair and chest hair cycles in and out of fashion. We’re not familiar with any time in history when back hair has been fashionable. Though we would of course never recommend that someone alter their body to match fashion trends. For their own reasons, Liz is waxing Ed’s back.
Ouch!

Ed is clearly in a lot of pain as Liz rips off the strips of wax, taking plenty of hair on each pull. Perhaps this will be cathartic for Liz. He has put her through so much, after all.
And their struggles are not yet over
They are planning a trip to his hometown, but Liz is already bracing for how his family may feel about her. Also, for how their words may influence Ed.
Elizabeth Potthast and Andrei Castravet
As precious little Ellie lays out as her parents pack for the trip, they are going to see the Grand Canyon. Andrei has apparently forgotten to do laundry and may be low on underwear, but they’re going. They have an ulterior motive — to share the baby news.
Libby is pregnant

She reminds Andrei that while they are both expecting their second child, she is the one who is actually physically pregnant. In general, it’s best to ask the partner who is actually pregnant before announcing “we’re pregnant.” There’s a difference between shared solidarity and stolen glory, and only the one whose uterus is hard at work gets to draw that line.
Andrei is still Andrei
Together, they draw their news on posterboard, but Andrei is super cranky about even something as simple as letter spacing. What a way to live your life, Libby.
They’ve lured Chuck on the trip with them
Andrei’s dad is staying there, so bringing Stefan is easy. But Libby’s dad has his own life, so they had to basically trick him into thinking that this was a normal Grand Canyon trip for Stefan’s benefit. Notably, the dads are the only ones coming along. The rest of Libby’s family will find out on social media, just like fans did.
Surprise!
On top, they wrote the baby news in English. Underneath, they wrote it in Romanian for Andrei’s Moldovan father. They are expecting a baby!
Chuck is too funny
It takes him the longest time to get it. Not just because of the Romanian words, but because he’s distracted because he’s trying to film this — thinking that it’s just for an Instagram Reel, not knowing that it’s big news. Then, the shock sets in. Happy shock, but still.
But …
Chuck fears that posting this to Instagram to let everyone else know will alienate Libby’s sisters further.
Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya
Yara and her mother, Olga, travel with Jovi and Mylah to look at apartments in downtown Prague. Her mom wants her to have a home here in Europe, for visits. She would love to live there herself, and help take care of Mylah.
Yara has more family coming
She hopes to be able to help other family as they escape the brutal invasion of Ukraine. Having a residence here in Prague could help. Jovi also wants to help, but his thinking is more along the lines of refugee visas to the US and helping to get people settled over there, where he has friends and family and knows how to help.
The apartment that they view is a disappointment.
It would cost six figures, but it doesn’t even have a real bedroom — it has one bedroom at most, and a tiny kitchen. Jovi doesn’t have to disparage the place — he compliments it (albeit insincerely) because Yara can see all of the flaws for herself.
But Olga wants her to own a place that’s her’s
It’s not about Jovi. It’s about the vulnerabilities being a mom who could potentially become a single mom. Plus, again, Olga loves and misses her daughter and wants time with her grandbaby.
Jovi is still feeling hurt that Yara is considering this
She reassures him that she doesn’t want a divorce from him, but admits that part of the thinking is that this would be a safety net if something bad happened to Jovi. Or, you know, if they divorced. However, Jovi does clarify some things. Yara’s mom’s divorce left her without funds; if Jovi and Yara split, she would get half of all marital assets (that’s Louisiana law) plus things like alimony and child support. Jovi doesn’t delve into life insurance, but presumably it’s another safety net for her. Still, this is a story of two people who love each other but disagree on some topics.
Also …
Yara does admit that Jovi’s fondness for spending time at the strip club has made her wonder how long their marriage can last.
Kimberly Menzies and Usman Umar
“Usman” tells her that he cannot disobey his mother for any person or any reason. He reiterates his love for Kimberly, but it’s not enough to overcome his filial piety, unfortunately. Which means that he does have to go meet this other woman … a young, fertile, Hausa woman. That’s what his mother wants, and that’s what he’ll do. That said, at least his mom knows that Kimberly genuinely loves Usman.
Kimberly is planning the ultimate grand gesture
Sometimes, it makes sense to do something nice for someone, even when you’re feeling hurt. There can be a slippery slope, where you focus too much on pleasing them at the cost of your own happiness. This, at least, is something that Kimberly wants too — she’s going to propose to Usman, even without his mom’s blessing. And she has a backup ring in case the first isn’t quite right.
Surprise!
Usman shows up and has no idea what he’s in for. Kimberly has decorated the hotel room.
How romantic!
Rose petals, champagne, and an array of candles really help to set the mood. Even though production and the cameras are there, taking up space.
Usman “Sojaboy” Umar, will you marry me?
That’s not quite how Kimberly phrases it, but she does drop to one knee and pop out that ring box to propose. It’s very sweet. So different from Usman’s culture, of course. But he clearly feels taken aback.
He says yes!
Usman essentially tells her that he will do this if it is what will make her happy. And he says “yes” pretty clearly. And they kiss.
The first ring worked!
Kimberly had a backup ring just in case, which is … oddly relatable of her. But she didn’t need it.
The next day, however …
Kimberly is in a sour mood because Usman is getting dressed to go meet this young Hausa woman. Of course it’s difficult for her! This other woman would end up being Usman’s second wife. Or, worse for Kimberly, Usman’s mom might get him to take her as his first wife. That would be a dealbreaker.
Kimberly calls Jamal
Her smokeshow of a son is a real fan favorite for many reasons, and he makes some solid points while talking to his mom. He asks his mom how she’s feeling and asks some smart, probing questions. Mostly, he lets his mom talk so that she can unwind. She insists that she will be able to adjust to all of this, but Jamal worries that his mother will not be able to. And then she tells him that she proposed to Usman … without the blessing. Jamal worries that Usman’s willingness to do this “behind his mom’s back” could mean that he would deceive Kimberly, too. Jamal is a smart guy. “Don’t get married while you’re there,” he begs his mom.
