It goes with the territory of being an intensely controversial reality star.
These days, though, body-shamers are trying to ruin her life. But she’s ignoring them.
See, she’s preparing to enter a major bodybuilding competition — in a bikini.
As she prepares and hypes herself up, haters are sending her messages disparaging her body transformation and telling her to stop.
Anfisa is shutting down the critics, hard — and also flaunting her most recent progress.

Anfisa is gearing up for a big moment
But before she enters a major bodybuilding competition, she has some stern words for the trolls who are trying ot tear her down.
First, she shared a glimpse of her amazing body
She put in a lot of hard work for this amazing transformation, and it shows.
Her caption begins with the hate that she hears
“What are you doing? Why are these weird poses? Stop losing weight! Stop gaining muscle! You are looking like a man,” she quotes.
She’s had enough
“Addressing this one more time,” Anfisa writes. “As shocking and surprising as it may be for some of you, I’m going to compete in NPC.”
Wait, what is NPC?
“The National Physique Committee (NPC) is the largest amateur bodybuilding organization in the United States,” Anfisa explains, adding that she will be competing “in a bikini division! If you are not familiar with it, feel free to ask me any questions!”
She explains what fans can expect
“In short, I will be on stage with other girls wearing shiny bikinis, heels, having had their hair/make up/spray tan done,” she reveals. “And we will be judged based on our physiques, posing, overall look/presentation.”
This is happening so soon!
“Right now,” Anfisa notes. “I’m 9 weeks out from my first competition date.”
She’s undergoing a radical diet to prepare.
“And 2 weeks ago,” Anfisa shares. “I started dieting to lose some body fat by the competition date and look leaner on stage!”
Don’t worry — her new diet is temporary
“This lean state will only be for the competition,” she clarifies. “It’s not sustainable the whole year round.” That’s a relief. It’s her body, but when people starve themselves, they can permamently impair their health.
Anfisa loves bodybuilding
“I’ve been enjoying every second of this process,” she gushes. “(Not just the prep, but the whole time since I started working with my coach @paulrevelia in November last year). I feel great and loving my baby muscles.”
Her transformation is nearly complete
“And,” she adds. “It’s amazing to see how my body have changed and what it’s capable of.”

Anfisa has always been strikingly beautiful, but her look these days is considerably less soft.
Anfisa is bodybuilding in part to fill a void in her life
Her husband, Jorge Nava, is serving a two-year sentence for possession of marijuana. He runs a legal marijuana business in California, but he was arrested in Arizona, which has some of the stiffest penalties in the country over an arbitrarily banned plant.
She misses him
They had their ups and downs (seriously — she once slapped him on camera and he accused her of being some sort of sex worker on national television), but they worked through that and decided to stay married.
Bodybuilding gives her something on which to focus
She’s already a student, but having a goal in mind that will use her time and energy will help her to avoid, well, despair while her husband is locked up.
The hate does get to her
“I would lie if I said negative comments don’t ever get to me,” Anfisa recently revealed to her fans and followers. “They do.”
Recently, she actually gained weight
Anfisa put on 10 pounds. She is made of compact muscle these days.

It literally doesn’t matter. This isn’t about what you like or what we like — it’s about Anfisa.
Jorge doesn’t get a say, either
He loves, supports, and misses his wife while he’s behind bars. We suspect that he’s not too hung up on her fitness regime right now.
