‘NYT’ expanding ‘Book Review’ and arts coverage

Please don’t hate us for laughing, but when we hear the New York Times is expanding its coverage of the arts, we can’t help but feel bad for the yes-men who Arthur Sulzberger’s executive decision. While Dennis Publishing is laying off its editors, the Times has gone and appointed nine editors to “manage criticism and news reporting in architecture, art, books, classical music, dance, film, pop culture, television and theater.” The Sunday Book Review will also get redesigned and expanded. So aside from the front page, the entire newspaper will be getting a collagen injection.
