The deceased Billy Mays found his fame and fortune from Mighty brand products and now the marketing company is looking to replace his larger than life persona with an equally enthusiastic new television pitchman.
The nationwide search, orchestrated by Media Enterprises, will begin on August 19th in Tampa, Florida and will continue until the perfect person is identified.
The first product to be pitched will be the Mighty Sponge, said to be strong enough to absorb 2 liters of Coke. Billy’s image will remain on the products.
This could be one heck of an opportunity. Mays made over seven figures for one hour of work on his last infomercial. We’re guessing there will be a lot of bearded men in blue shirts trying to win over the judges with their look and style.
Billy died suddenly on June 28th — more on his death here. The autopsy showed cocaine abuse.
