Timbaland has filed a suit with the Federal District court against his label, claiming that they tried to smear his success. In the beginning, when he was first making the transition from singer to producer, the company had no issues – but as he became more successful, they conspired to bring him down.
The suit claims that the record company contacted various labels in an attempt to talk them out of hiring Timbaland in a producer capacity. He claims they became jealous and hostile, and they owe him some serious cash.
Who has the singer collaborated with? There are too many to list but a few big stars include; Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Leona Lewis, 50 Cent and Duran Duran.
