Susan Boyle has advanced to the finals on the BBC reality show Britain’s Got Talent after her stellar performance of the song Memory, sometimes referred to as Memories, from the musical Cats.

The semi-final round was broadcast on Sunday May 24, 2009 and the audience and judges have apparently not lost their enthusiasm for the Scottish songstress. After her performance, Boyle said, “All my life I’ve driven to prove myself, that I’m not just this little woman from Scotland. I just want that chance to perform in front of the Queen.”

The judges gave Susan a standing ovation and Simon Cowell remarked: “You are one special lady, you really are.”

The talented Boyle remained undaunted by her second major public appearance, though she did admit to being very nervous. She won the popular vote, which allowed her to advance. The winner will be announced next Saturday, May 30, 2009.
