Antwan Patton, better known as Outkast rapper Big Boi, was arrested in Miami for possession of multiple controlled substances and drugs paraphernalia.
He was busted by customs and border patrol dogs while leaving a cruise ship in Florida. Miami-Dade County Corrections officials booked him on three felony counts for illegally possessing ecstasy, MDMA powder and Viagra.
He was booked at 1:35 p.m. ET and released after arranging bail on a $16,000 bond.
The rapper’s attorney Daniel Kane issued a statement on behalf of his client, “While Big Boi was traveling with his group and friends, a small amount of contraband was found in the collective luggage. I am confident when the entire facts are aired Big Boi will be completely exonerated.”
