When you are constantly pushing the envelope because you are Lady Gaga, it becomes a challenge to remain outrageous. Yet time and again she manages.

We’ve seen her pop-can hairdos, the see-through costumes and the infamous meat dress. Lady G is famous for taking her fashion and her persona to the extreme.

On the cover of her latest single, You and I, Gaga is dressed as her male alter ego Jo Calderone.

She dabbled with this character a year ago when she appeared on the cover of Vogues Hommes Japan. In the new photos, the fictitious Italian car mechanic is decidedly scruffy, with sideburns and a dangling cigarette.

Gaga hit Twitter to share the cover art with her fans. Along with the images she commented, “You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don’t love yourself.”

The soon-to-be released music video for You and I was shot in Springfield, Nebraska last month. Gaga is shown walking from New York City to Nebraska to get her boyfriend back.

We’re told that the new vid will drop in conjunction with the 1,000th message posted by Gaga on her Twitter account. Both are slated to occur on August 23, 2011.
