Kate Gosselin, mother of twins and sextuplets, and star on her family’s TLC reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8, has seen her life played out on the world stage in ways she could never have imagined just a short while ago. Her husband Jon Gosselin appears to have developed a partying lifestyle and is reported to have carried on a secret three month affair with third-grade teacher Deanna Hummel of Reading, Pennsylvania.

For the past few weeks, both Jon and Kate have been lending credence to internet rumors by making statements to all of the top celebrity sites, including People magazine. They have denied rumors of infidelity, first he and just yesterday, Kate disputed rumors that she has been engaging in an extra-marital affair with her bodyguard Steve Neild – see Us Weekly photos below.

Check out what Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jodi had to say about his sister and her crumbling family. The Kreider’s sad interview hit the internet on May 14, 2009 and is available on video here.

Last week Kate discounted what appeared to be fairly hard evidence that Jon was cheating on her. His girlfriend’s brother provided photos and video along with details pointing to a relationship that appears to be more than a casual friendship. Things have apparently changed because now Kate has provided some additional insight into the situation, and it doesn’t look good for their marriage.

Kate told People magazine in an interview that will hit newsstands this Friday, “I don’t know that we’re in the same place anymore, that we want the same thing. I’ve been struggling with the question of ‘Who is this person?’ for a while. I remember where I was the first time I heard HER name. It’s one of those things where you can try to make it go away, but there’s blaring, red flashing lights.”

She went on to say, “You can’t imagine yourself in a certain position when all this first happens, but you can do it over some months. When your mind is ready to go there, you can accept any number of scenarios.” That said, she did put a positive spin on the end of the interview with the statement, “I will never give up hope that every member of our family can be absolutely happy again.”
