The Season 4 finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8 left the future of the show very much up in the air and raised questions about the status of the couple’s marriage. TLC announced yesterday that the Gosselin’s will be returning for a 5th season.
Kate Gosselin made it very clear that she was happy with the show and conversely, Jon Gosselin seemed disgruntled and out of sorts about the prospect of appearing for another season.
Much of his angst had to do with some negative media focus that fell on his shoulders after he was photographed in a bar last year. The nasty details had him dirty dancing and otherwise cavorting with several females. There was even a photo that surfaced. Check it out here.
The show attracted record ratings for its season finale that aired on March 23, 2009. What can we expect in Season 5? The sextuplets will be 5 and attending kindergarten. We know that there is a behind the scenes helper and that Kate is traveling a good deal. It should be interesting to see if the dogs will still be living with the busy family. We got the sense in the last episode that the ‘dog honeymoon’ was way over for Kate.
Can’t wait to see if Kate will treat her man with a little more respect in the upcoming season. We sure hope so because it is clear that Jon can’t take much more abuse at the hands of his newly anointed diva wife.
