After months of adamantly denying that he fathered Rielle Hunter‘s 18-month old baby girl Frances, John Edwards is set to admit he is, indeed, the baby daddy.
Hunter testified Thursday morning before a grand jury to answer questions about money she received by the Edwards campaign to film a behind-the-scenes look at the candidate, in an ongoing criminal investigation to determine whether this was “hush money” to keep quiet about her affair with the former presidential candidate.
Edwards admitted to an affair with Hunter, but maintained their romance ended in 2006, and has always denied that the former campaign aide’s daughter is his love child.
In the latest news, sources say Edwards will admit he is the baby’s father. His public admission is expected to come before the end of the criminal investigation, and comes on the heels of reports that he secretly underwent a DNA test, confirming paternity.
