Erica Lee, co-host of the “Scott and Erica Morning Show” on MIX 105.1, has been fired. She and Scott McKenzie have co-hosted the popular Orlando morning drive time radio slot since 1991.
McKenzie said, “I’ve spent more time with Erica Lee over the past two decades than anyone — even my family. My apologies to anyone who has been hit by a truck, but that is how I feel today.”
Lee was raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey and moved to Florida in 1975, graduating from Florida State. Lee worked with McKenzie for 19 years. They were nominated Personalities of the Year by Billboard Magazine in 1994, 1995, and 1996.
McKenzie and Lee signed new contracts with WOMX, the CBS owned station, in 2007 that should have carried them to 2011.
No reason has been given for Erica Lee’s termination.
