Las Vegas entertainer Danny Gans died in his sleep early this morning after a family member discovered him “having trouble breathing” and called 911.
By the time paramedics arrived, the 52-year-old, who was named Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year a record 11 times in a row, was already dead.
Gans was a headliner in Vegas for many years, where he was billed as “The Man of Many Voices.” Starting his career at the Stratosphere Hotel in 1996, he moved to the Rio Hotel shortly thereafter. In 2000 he became a permanent performer at The Mirage, where the Danny Gans Theatre was built. On February 10, 2009, Gans began performing at Steve Wynn’s Encore.
According to TMZ the 911 call was placed at 3:44 a.m.
