Britain’s Got Talent named their top three as Diversity, Susan Boyle and Julian Smith. But in the end, the ten member street dance group Diversity took the title, won 100,000 pounds, and will perform at the Royal Variety Show.
The Essex group fell to the ground in shock and delight. The group featured several performers as young as 12 and 13 years of age. Ashley Banjo, 20, said winning the contest “has changed our lives”.
Susan Boyle sang I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables, the song she first performed at her audition. She was named second place winner. Julian Smith performed Somewhere from West Side Story on his saxophone.
