The Today Show’s Ann Curry caught up with Brad Pitt at the Cannes Film Festival to talk about his new film “Inglorious Basterds,” which premieres tonight at the festival.

The film takes place in Nazi-occupied France during World War II, and follows a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “The Basterds” who spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis.

Brad talks candidly about the film and writer/director Quentin Tarantino; expresses discomfort at being named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People; and visibly squirms when Curry questions him about his personal life.

When asked if this is one of the happiest times of his life, Pitt responds “one of the most on track, I would say.”
