Los Angeles police were called to the home of Miley Cyrus at 4 a.m. Saturday after a man scaled her property fence and then attempted to force his way into the celebrity’s home.
The stranger, Jason Luis Rivera, 40, came to the door stating that he was a friend of the 19-year-old singer.
Miley wasn’t at the residence during the incident and her staff refused to let the man in. The suspect repeatedly launch himself up against a wall outside, a bizarre act that alarmed the staff.
Police Lt. Brian Wendling stated that employees inside the Studio City home called 911. When LAPD officers arrived they found the perp cowering in the bushes with a pair of scissors.
He was arrested and booked on suspicion of trespassing. Bail was set at $1,000.
Miley was having a great week before Rivera invaded her space. She tweeted, “This week has been so positive! 2.5 Men, VMAS, new website, confirming a single 4 this year = life couldn’t be sweeter.”
