Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen get’s a bad rap most of the time in the press and it usually seems fitting. Angry, bitter, reckless, foul-mouth, too skinny and Gothic are a few descriptors that always seem to pop up when Taylor is mentioned.
At just a mere 17-years-old, it’s no wonder that heads turn when they see photos of the celebrity smoking or flashing her breasts at concert-goers.
With two guns in hand, Taylor is on the cover of Revolver magazine‘s November-December issue and she spoke about why she seems so angry all the time: “Everyone’s like, ‘Wow, why is she so upset, and why is she so miserable about things.’ My parents signed me up with Ford modeling at the age of two. No two-year-old wants to be working, but I had no choice.”
At the age of seven she was thrust into acting and scored the role of Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas. How did that translate for Momsen? No friends, no stability, moving from school to school, working around the clock with no real life– is how she explains it.
We have to wonder — if she is so miserable then why is she still in the business? She’s 17 now and likely calling her own shots. Besides her role on Gossip Girl, Momsen is also in the band The Pretty Reckless.
