While on location in the chilly Scottish Highlands for the filming of “The Eagle of the Ninth”, actor Channing Tatum sustained severe injuries that sent him to the hospital. The accident happened in October and he is now providing some background on the incident.

The actor spoke with Details magazine and filled them in on his not so smart move. “The only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your wetsuit. We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I’m like, ‘Nah, I’m good’. And then I thought, ‘Why not?'”

Seems perfectly fine right? Wrong! The crew member forgot to dilute the scalding water and poured it down Channing’s pants. Trying to pull the wetsuit away from his body, he ended up only making the burning water cover more of his body. The actor called it the “most painful thing I have ever experience in my life.”
