Who knows how bitter 51-year-old Sharon Stone really is? If anything, she sounds like a sore loser in her latest interview with Tatler magazine, where she addressed why Meryl Streep, 60, seems to be getting all the good roles.
Stone’s most recent notable movies have been “Basic Instincts 2” and “Bobby”, both appearing on the big screen way back in 2006.
“I think Meryl Streep is working so much because she looks like a woman we can all relate to. I look at her and I think, ‘I’m chasing my kids, I’ve moved my parents in with me, I’m coping with food spills – that looks like me in real life.’ Meryl looks like an unmade bed, and that’s what I look like. To me, that looks true.”
Sharon, a spokeswoman for Dior anti-aging products, says that she has not had anything done to improve her looks. “I have had zero, nothing done to myself: no lifting, no Botox, no injections. I did try something once and I saw myself in a movie and didn’t like the way I looked. I thought I looked like I had a giant balloon head, and I felt it wasn’t for me.” What happened to zero? Maybe once doesn’t count in Hollywood.
We are guessing Streep is laughing all the way to the bank, and Stone did fail to point out how incredibly brilliant Meryl is when it comes to acting.
Stone has signed a four-episode contract with “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. She’ll play a former cop who turned prosecutor, with the shows set to air in April 2010.
We have found a photo of Stone that we are thinking must be what she was calling a “balloon head.” Check it out below.
