A startling photo has surfaced that appears to be John Fitzgerald Kennedy lounging on a boat while several naked young women are sunbathing and jumping into the water. Had that photo been made public prior to the 1960 presidential election, it seems likely that the outcome would have been different.

The picture shows obvious signs of age and was likely taken in the mid-1950’s. According to several books and articles on the life of the 35th President of the United States, JFK, a U.S. Senator at the time, took a 2-week Mediterranean boat trip with his brother Ted Kennedy and Senator George Smathers in August 1956. Reports indicate they entertained a number of women on the yacht. Sadly, during that trip, Kennedy was notified that his wife Jackie had gone into labor and delivered a stillborn baby girl.

The photo had been in the possession of a car dealer from the East coast, who bragged about it to friends over the years and reportedly kept it in a drawer. Upon his death 10 years ago, the photo was handed down to his son.

TMZ has been given access to the photo and had several experts examine the print. All believe that there is no evidence of alteration. Professor Jeff Sedlik, a forensic photo expert, believes the photo is authentic.

UPDATE: TMZ executive producer Harvey Levin admits that they were duped on this one – the photo was in fact a fake. It turns out the photo was featured in Playboy magazine in 1967, four years after Kennedy was assassinated.
