Rielle Hunter, videographer and former mistress of Senator John Edwards, entered the federal courthouse in Raleigh, North Carolina on Thursday morning to testify before a grand jury. She was summoned to answer questions about the $100,000 that she was paid by the Edwards campaign in 2006 to film a private behind-the-scenes look at the candidate.
The assembled jury panel will question her to determine if she received special consideration in landing the job, and whether the accompanying salary was in line with the requirements of the project.
Hunter held her 17-month-old daughter Frances as she enter the courthouse building. The child is rumored to be John Edwards’ child.
