Paris Hilton was on hand last night at the special private MTV screening of her documentary Paris, Not France, directed by Adria Petty, the daughter of Tom Petty. The event took place at the Majestic Crest Theater in Westwood.

The movie, which has a run time of 68 minutes was previously shown at the Toronto International Film Festival detailing the day-to-day life of model, actress, businesswoman, heiress, and icon Paris Hilton. Others in the cast of characters include her parents Rick Hilton and Kathy Hilton, her sister Nicky Hilton, former friends Joel Madden, Benji Madden and Nicole Richie. Even Donald Trump gets into the act.

The private screening at the ‘sold out event’ was being filmed by MTV for future broadcast on their network. Tickets were actually available free of charge through Onset Productions, with only a $2 parking fee, and guests were instructed to dress trendy because they would be appearing on camera. The instruction for the red carpet event was to “dress like you are going out to a bar or club.”

We find it ironic that the only way to get people to attend a Paris Hilton movie is to have MTV stage a free opportunity for others to enjoy their own 15 minutes of fame in the process.
