It wasn’t all that long ago that the world was in an uproar over the swine flu but early hysteria has subsided. Now reports have surfaced that Harry Potter star Rupert Grint had a mild case of the swine flu.
Rupert ended up contracting the disease while shooting the latest installment of the Harry Potter series. The actor is doing well, in fact he showed up on Tuesday to attend the London premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Grints’ rep released a statement confirming that the 20-year-old actor had come down with the flu, and was forced to take a few days off from shooting. Recovering fully, Rupert is now able to join the cast to promote the next blockbuster.
The film company was able to work around Grint’s absence during the filming of the latest installment, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and didn’t suffer any production downtime because of Rupert’s illness.
