Legendary boxer Mike Tyson and girlfriend, Lakiha Spicer were married at a private ceremony in Las Vegas last Saturday. The vows were exchanged at La Bella Wedding Chapel inside the Hilton hotel and casino.
Shawn Absher, who owns the chapel, said that the couple were married at 10 p.m. and that they had come directly from the Clark County marriage bureau after getting their license 30 minutes earlier. No extra frills were requested for the ceremony–it was simple and Absher reports that it was “very sincere.”
The wedding seems to come at a very hard time for Tyson, who lost his 4-year-old daughter Exodus two weeks early in Phoenix, after she became entangled in a hanging cord on her mother’s treadmill in the family room.
This is the third marriage for Tyson. The 32-year-old bride lives in nearby Henderson, Nevada.
