Hookers for Jesus founder Annie Lobért

Hookers for Jesus founder Annie Lobért and Christian band Stryper guitarist Oz Fox were married in Las Vegas in front of an applauding crowd and a web audience Friday evening.

Lobért, 41, worked for 11 years as a prostitute and escort in Las Vegas. She founded Hookers for Jesus to “save the souls of women who sell their bodies.” The organization addresses the realities of human sex trafficking, sexual violence and exploitation linked to pornography and the sex industry.

Fox, 47, is the lead guitarist for the Christian metal band Stryper, which stands for Salvation Through Redemption, Yielding Peace, Encouragement and Righteousness. He recently joined the band Bloodgood and has performed at several Christian rock festivals with them.

The couple were married by Pastor Benny Perez, who said Lobért is a shining example of Christ’s love for everyone.

The bride wore a white strapless gown, gloves and a veil. The ceremony, which was widely publicized on several Christian websites was broadcast live on the internet.
