Baby Phat CEO and reality show star Kimora Lee Simmons sent a couple of tweets on Friday, announcing to her followers that she was in labor. She even shared a TwitPic taken of the fashion model from her hospital bed.
The first tweet on Friday announced, “It’s time!! No turning back! At hospital in labor right now!! A while later she updated, “Having contractions now! Ooo-wee! It’s like WHOA! Love & Light, KLS.”
That was the end of her narrative and some sixteen hows later, she and partner Djimon Hounsou, an Oscar-nominated actor and model, welcomed a baby son. The child was born Saturday morning, May 30th.
Kimora was married to Russell Simmons and they share custody of 9-year-old Ming Lee and 6-year-old Aoki Lee. Kimora filed for divorce in March 2007, when she and Hounsou began a relationship. She and her daughters have starred on Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane on The Style Network since 2007.
We fully expect that Kimora will tweet more baby details and announce the newborns name soon.
