We’re not sure if she quit or was fired, but suffice it to say that Shanna Moakler is no longer a co-director of the Miss California USA organization. We’d be willing to bet that Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant organization, may have brought some pressure to bear on the vocal pageant executive after the treatment that Carrie Prejean received from Moakler and co-director Keith Lewis following the Miss USA pageant. Too many bridges were burned for her to continue.

Moakler told Us magazine, “Since the press conference yesterday, I had a chance to think about what has taken place, and I feel that at this time it is in my best interest to resign from the Miss California USA organization. I cannot with a clear conscious move forward supporting and promoting the Miss Universe Organization when I no longer believe in it.”

On Monday, one day prior to Donald Trump‘s news conference, the co-director’s of the Miss California organization appointed Tami Farrell, first runner-up to Carrie Prejean, to a new role as Beauty of California Ambassador. Her new job was to fulfill any duties that Prejean might not be able to carry out. It would seem that that newly created post will no longer be necessary.
