Actor Josh Hartnett phoned 911 early this morning and was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for what is being described as severe abdominal pains.
According to TMZ, Hartnett was staying at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood when he became ill. An emergency call was placed at 12:53 a.m. on Monday, March 30. An ambulance delivered him to the hospital at 2:00 a.m. and he was able to walk into the medical facility under his own power.
Hartnett’s rep, Susan Patricola, issued a statement saying that her client was experiencing a flare up of an ongoing gastrointestinal problem and is hospitalized for observation and treatment. He apparently suffered the same symptoms in London while performing in the stage version of Rain Man
The actor recently finished filming Bunraku, a drama where he plays a drifter. His co-stars include Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson.
