It was Motown Week on American Idol and Adam Lambert and the other Top 10 contestants were mentored by Smokey Robinson.

We saw a new side of Adam, who dropped his edgy look for this performance of Tracks Of My Tears, made famous by Smokey and The Miracles in 1965.

Of the performance, Kara said it showed his artistry. Paula called him very handsome and exciting with his slicked back hair. Simon declared it the “best performance of the night”. Randy told him that he was not just an “indie cool rocker”, but “unbelievably hot” and told him the ball is now in his court.
