I may stand alone when I say this, but I do not like Jennifer Aniston the movie star. Now, Jennifer Aniston the kick-ass-TV-actress-from-Friends, I will take her any day. Let’s be brutally honest, Jennifer Aniston’s movies are never really that good, ‘Along Came Polly’ and ‘Love Happens’ are prime examples. Yes, we may stumble across one that we absolutely love, ‘The Break Up’ for example, but that is a rarity.

I almost didn’t want to see ‘The Bounty Hunter’ despite the fact that the previews made it seem pretty funny. I am no fool, I have been trained to think that any Jennifer Aniston movie is literally a toss up – it could go either way. I gambled anyway.

Well, it wasn’t great but it didn’t suck either. Watching the movie will give you a sudden sense of deja vu. Haven’t I seen this story before? I have – in every other romantic comedy I’ve ever seen. Of course each one has it’s own storyline but the plot is usually the same. The movie was predictable to say the least.

Now, I love a good “chick flick” but this one seemed to be all wrong. There was comedy, action and romance but somehow it didn’t all fit together. I must admit that I laughed a few times but Gerard Butler is a funny guy and there definitely should have been more than just a few LOL moments.

One thing that drove me crazy about the movie was the relationship between the two lead characters; they fought constantly, berated each other, and even became physically aggressive yet still wound up with each other in the end. Call me crazy but shouldn’t you actually like the person you choose to be with?

Do I recommend it? Sure, why not, there really isn’t much else to see in theaters right now. You probably won’t hate it, but you won’t leave the theater raving about it either. It’s definitely not ‘The Break Up’, but it’s no ‘Along Came Polly’ either. Oh, Jennifer Aniston please make a kick ass movie.

I’m Danni and a Jennifer Aniston movie is always a gamble.
